Aye. That's interesting news Deadmanshand. We used to have Wurz's ex here too... maybe we could gather all the bits-n-pieces and have the real Wurzel puzzle image? ;D Wurzel's ex.. Wurzel is interviewed on disc 2 of the motorhead videobiography. His first interview since he left.

What gig´s nearest to Mainz? ;D mainz is located pretty convenient for shows imo - frankfurt/main, wiesbaden (schlachthof wiesbaden - nice venue), cologne and düsseldorf are quite doable, heidelberg is not all that far away, too... not to forget stuttgart... ;D on november 27th, a promissing new band is going to play in cologne at the "palladium", called "motörhead" or something... ;D travelling-distance approx. 180 km (one way)

Good to see them getting along again!!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP5ykCsOHAoI have been with the bass player from Persian Risk Nick Hughes since 1984 - this is what we do now - www.toadstool.org.uk !!!!! Its not rock but it still rocks!!!! We will probably pop along to see Motorhead and catch up with Lemmy & Phil at Cardiff in November

In '95 I was at the ye olde Mayfair in Newcastle to see this quireboys reunion show or sumthin. On the ticket it said there was gonna be loadsa 'guests' there, including Wurzel. So here I am standing near the bar downstairs and I heard someone saying "Ahhhaaaaa Motorhead yeh" I turned round and it was Wurzel!!! He was pointin to me 1916 shirt I had on. I couldn't believe it!!! Bloody Wurzel!!! Get In!!!! Well we were yappin on for a canny while and he seemed really happy and that. I said to him that I can't wait to hear "Sacrifice" coz I'd been searchin the record shops for about a week for a copy of it but nowhere had it. Wurzel's bloody MASSIVE smile vanished instantly then he nicked off. Apart from seein him play "Bomber" that nite the next I heard was that he left Motorhead. What was all that about?!??

He only does two solos on Sacrifice but his Dog Face Boy solo is the best on the album.

So... apparently mentioning Sacrifice brought out some bad thoughts/memories. Quite interesting.

Think it was more due to the fact that Sacrifice STILL wasn't available in the shops. That's when the smile disappeared. And back then it was canny difficult to buy a new Motorhead album on day of release. I remember Virgin havin a massive display for March or Die but didnt have the album. Though I dud get Bastards no probz from Volume. Which was the day after that headbanger's bollix 2hr interview with Lemmy&Mikkey! (also was the day after New England did a no-show at trillians). So I'm thinkin that maybe the distribution issues got him??
