Er..... I’ll swap it for a couple of Motley Crue cds?! Assume you’re doing some of their gigs? You know what I will have to think about that - it is that bad Blimey that’s a shock, what’s gone on in Flynn’s head then? I’m still working on my solo album lol had my amp repaired and sounds good. Not in your lads league though, he can bloody play

Not in your lads league though, he can bloody play God knows - hes lost the plot big time. Theres a tribute song on the album to Lemmy and the song and lyrics ( especially) are fucking embarrassing Yeah he still has lessons- now with an older bloke who will play a rhythm and Taylor makes up a solo to fit and vice versa . I want him to go to a jam night ( once a month) but hes doing his exams soon so hes been busy ( plus he needs a mate to hold his hand ) The bloke is proper old school so much better than the lad he had teach him before

Saxon did a Lemmy tribute song recently , I think, not heard it tbough. I went to see them last year and was a bit underwhelmed, crowd was dull and the band responded accordingly, hence I d8dnt buy their new album

I saw they were on at Cambridge corn exchange the other month and had Rock Goddess supporting. As usual I saw it too late and the gig was sold out ( so they must still be popular I guess) Another band for me that I only listen to their early stuff.

You mentioned Rock Goddess were playing again a year or so ago, that might have persuaded me to go see them, just an odd sensation watching a band I used to love being so average. Or am I just getting old lol

She’s also enthused by girls in bands , so might give her a blast of girl school or goddess.

Taylor listens to more melodic metal as well now- gone have gone the likes of lamb of god and slipknot - which aint a bad thing in my view

I never lik d slip knot a lot sand while I admired Slayer for what they were good at, I could take or leave. Always believe a good song is a good song no matter who it’s by and teaching girls that too, gives us a lot of options on bands to see!

To be fair, a duff album doesn’t necessarily mean the tour will disappoint , worth thinking about and maybe going anyway

Labour Day in Germany = day off ..... so loads of time to listen to my latest buy for the umpthiest time:JUDAS PRIEST ~ "Firepower"Going to see them in August at the venue I firsr saw them during the Defenders-tour in '84 - can hardly put in words how much I'm looking forward to that one.A bit of a shame the original lineup is slowly crumbling away, but let's wait and see how Andy Sneap will be doing as the replacement axe wielder for Glen. Really hyped, that's what I am .(I was planning to post a pic of the cover actually, but was informed that "the thread in which you are posting has no effects applied to it". Hrmpf! )

As a live band they are superb . Benji is a top frontman- very funny and gets the crowd going. I did have tickets to see them in brum on the sunday just gone but sold them to a mate as I expected to be elsewhere, but that hasn't materialised yet ggrrrrrrr If you get the chance go and see them. We had seen them at festivals over the years but the first time we saw them indoors they supported 5 Finger Death Punch and they blew them away. Well worth it-you wont be disappointed

Seem to have missed them several times at festivals so definitely need to put that right. Also looking forward to seeing Killswithch Engage this year on the Maiden tour. Another band that have eluded me a few times.
