You know the rules.
1. Lost. I'm hugely conflicted about the ending, but the sense of wonder and, shall I say, belonging of the first three seasons is unparalleled for me. We have to go back. 2. Millennium. Very uneven, deeply flawed, deeply beautiful. Dialogue-driven, ponderously paced at the end of the 90's, with both characters that you care about and outlandish ideas. This is who we are. 3. Twin Peaks. Where the Golden Age of television started. The long sort arc, the large mythologies. The owls are not what they seem. 4. Breaking Bad. Actually flawless, from start to finish. Five years of the best ongoing nervous breakdown ever committed to frames. Ding! 5. Hannibal, at least so far - up to the end of season two. How to make a prequel series the right way. A look into the worst of the obscene, but done perfectly. This is my design.

It is the only tv series I have religiously watched.Absolutely loved it.Yes the ending was shit and maybe it went on for 1 series too many ,but like you said above Legion, the first few series were superb. Cant say ive seen any of the others you mention though!!!

That's the huge question with Lost - when exactly did it stray from the righteous path? I've heard opinions ranging from season one to never, and every one backed by a lot of facts. I think that's because every season was centered about a new theme on purpose, so the threshold effect was inevitable pretty much all the way through. I still think season two has the best opening I've ever seen.
Millennium is a bit similar to that, though for different reasons. It had three seasons but never a huge audience, so the network switched producers every season and each team had its own different vision.
Twin Peaks is universally considered to take a dive for the worst in season two, save for the last two episodes (no spoilers, it has to be seen).
Breaking Bad is amazingly consistent all the way through. It's not my all-time favourite simply because it doesn't have the sort of gothic feel that the others series have, and that I was raised with, but I think it's the best television you can find with a mundane setting.
Jury's still out for Hannibal, waiting for season three.

Man, I could tell a thousand stories about Twin Peaks, but I'm kinda stoned right now ... but this is a really memorable series for me and I will never forget. I had a feeling that it opens your mind and your field of view about life at the same time showing that there is no one holy in this world. Very deep reflection and great taste, this is what I call decent tv program!

Oh Vikings is good indeed, for what I've seen (part of season 1). I still haven't caught up with The Walking Dead though. Can you sell me on it?

Thanks, though that's not what I meant. I never was captivated by the feel I got from the various promos. Though it is a huge sensation, so it must have its points. Can you give me an executive summary of why it's good?

Thanks, though that's not what I meant. I never was captivated by the feel I got from the various promos. Though it is a huge sensation, so it must have its points. Can you give me an executive summary of why it's good? If you liked George Romeros 'Dead' films, and remake Night of the living dead, and Dawn of the Dead etc... Well, this main theme is the same. Zombie apocalipse. Only stuff here are special, about surviving. It is series not movie so there are lot of details. Food, water, shelter, other people - bandit's, sickness, problems eventualy between them - love problems, jalousy... They trying to find cure or shelter where they could live forever, they still didnt. They had some shelters, but problems with zombies, battles with gangs ..... You have gangs, cannibalism gangs etc.... They are trying to show how it would be if something like this could be real. Of course, there are many holes in it, but hey if they think about every detail this show could run 100 seasons. They cant show every detail. There are comments, forums about that I cant talk about details there are to many of them. Well, it's ok series if you like those movies and this theme. It starts with this sheriff in small town, Rick. He got in to the hospital because of accident, he was in coma, when he walk up he see world is not the same and he is alone in hospital. In the mean time, his best friend, run away with his wife and kid and with other survivors outside town in forest. His friend fall in love with his wife, they think Rick id dead. Later Rick find them. Well.. from that there are some people dying, some new people comes in, problems between tham and all other stuff.... some main actors die too eventualy.. It is season 5 right now showing. First season have 6 episodes, second 13 episodes, than every other season have 16 episodes.

I see, so it's the procedural approach to the zombie apocalypse. Interesting. Thanks man, I'll look into it.

I am on a third season of Walking Dead ... I like but not that awesome tv show... Sons of Anarchy was good too ... very bloody ... And it won't get any better in the 4th and 5th season... I keep on watching TWD just to know if someday would happen something new. I watch really a lot of tv series. Some of them: Game of thrones The Walking Dead House of Cards Better call Saul (so far not so good, but let's wait a little bit more) Criminal Minds Elementary

Well, depends what you like. If you like easy show with action, travel, stories about caracters etc.. than it is for you. If you like action, blood and shooting most of the time than it will be boring for you.
