First spin. 5 songs in. Pretty good. Not expecting anything groundbreaking. I need something to pull me out of a depression, and this appears to be the right remedy.

Sounds good - it's solid. NOT AS GOOD AS LORDI'S LATEST, but it's solid.
Depression, Mike? What happened man?

I often go through periods of depression here and there. I'm not quite sure what causes them, and I can't really say I've taken any steps to find out.

I think the album is generally pretty good. I think it drops off in quality at around track 10 but the first 8 or 9 songs are good, except for absoluetly dreadful lyrics. The lyrics on this album make absoluetly no sense for the most part.
There's no great single on the album either. Could have done with a Heatseeker or Thunderstruck but those kind of songs don't write themselves.
3.5 stars I think

And a new one is imminent, recorded in just 10 days so Phil rudd says! Not too excited frankly, but Malcs health permitting, may be some shows

Isn't this the album with the son? That's an interesting unknown. I'm pretty stoked actually.

yeah definitely a shame about Malcolm. Never really got into acdc.a lot of the records I had where full of fillers and a couple of good songs.A best of album of theirs with say 12 songs on would be brilliant but the rest of the stuff I wouldn't care if I heard them again.Saw them at doningtin in 1984 (headlining) and Ozzy blew them offstage. That sying though ,Ozzy has been shit, bar the odd song, since then as well

Malcolm is not coming back to the band ever I suspect based on what I have heard about his health. Stevie Young did a stand up job on some of the Blow Up Your Video tour when Malcolm was too pissed/recovering/whatever to go on the road. He was always the easy choice to cover for Malcolm for the album and any tour I guess.
Despite having little optimism for the quality of the new album I hope they do tour one more time. It'll be strange seeing them minus Malcolm, but then again can you imagine how Angus will feel not having his brother there backing him up on stage?

A bit AC/DC by numbers, but its ok. Keeps appearing on Youtube and getting pulled due to copyright so this is off Russian Youtube, dos vidanya and all that rutube.ru/video/2646a3eada5d6befdf5f878bc5d4c828/Very sad about Malcolm, but Stevie Young will do a sterling job as LArd says. Not been to watch them for a very long time, so if theres a tour and the prices aren't silly (HAHA) I might indulge
