Agree Copeland, it might be a grower, and usually it's those songs that's not that good at first listen but need needs time to grow that end up as a the best tracks...

I agree. My favourite albums were like that. Most of them, on first listen, I wondered "Why did I buy this again?", and several weeks, months, maybe even a year later, I declared them additions to my top 5. The more immediately accessible the song, the quicker it loses its spark, I find.

Apparently Brian Johnson has once again not written the lyris for the new album. Gutted. This will not be a great album with Young lyrics.

I agree with Cope. I thought Train was dull. War Machine shines.

It's an HMV exclusive in Canada....
There are no HMVs anywhere near where I live....
I don't think amazon will have it.....
Well, fuck this, they don't want me to buy it, so I won't. I don't like illegal downloads, but this sort of exclusive promotional nonsense is unacceptable.

Every review I have read agree, this is the best they've done since Back in Black.

I just ordered it after listening to some impressive streams on youtube.
Just found a 2001 interview with Brian Johnson where he's asked about his lack of lyric writing credits since Blow Up Your Video in 1988. He says that he just ran out of ideas to write about. Maybe he tried to give it another go this time round but still had the block.

got the album yesterday, third turn right now.
i think that's really a weak output, can't see, why some people think it should be the best since back in black.
mostly boring, uninspired songs, boring songwriting.
only highlights so far wheels, dezibel and black ice.
could be the disappointment of the year, but i hope it will grow a bit....
