I can't find much in the album to enjoy at all. Worst Motoralbum ever for me. Mainly because of the poor lyrics.

What - worse than "March or Die"?
I agree it isn't as good as it could have been, and the lyrics repeat a lot of stuff from older albums, but there are some great tracks on it, like One Night Stand, Under The Gun, Christine and Sword of Glory.
Each to their own I guess........

But... March or Die ain't that bad... Hey wait a sec...
That's it! Kiss of Death! The new March or Die! Enjoyed by some, deeply despised by others! With catchy songs! With letdowns!
DISCUSS ;D

This album truly is the Marmite of the Motorhead catalogue - you either love it or hate it. I say there are four, maybe five good songs on it, the rest of it sucks.
As I type this I have "Bastards" playing - now that is a fucking Motorhead album!

Another Perfect Day is BEST - so there - just heating up the discussion ;D This new album is a challenge; at first I'd have given it something like 1.5 out of 5 but listening more to it it has reached about 3.5 out of them 5 - this album is better than Inferno in terms of singular song efforts (sucker, sword of glory, trigger, god was..., be my baby, goin' down) but Inferno was a tighter album as a whole (except for having the word 'killer' in two titles which is plain pathetic...); anyway, this is motorhead - many a time they release a really strong record it will be followed by one with 50/50 good shit/crappy fillers on it (Iron Fist was similar, so were - sorry I say so - Ace of Spades, Rock'n Roll, March ör Die, Overnight Sensation and Hammered). Lyrics reached an all-time low on Inferno as far as I am concerned, I rather like the ones on this one...

I can listen to Match or Die. Kiss of Death I Can't. It's so awful I had to swictch it off before the end of each song when I first put it on.
For me, Bastards is best. Then Overnight Sensation and 1916.

I'm starting to feel that in general, the songs on Kiss of Death are a lot better than the bulk of Inferno, but due to inconsistency, and the jagged lack of flow, it doesn't feel quite as solid as its predecessor. However, this album is still amazing, and continues to grow on me with every spin.
Things I've concluded:
-"Sucker" is one of the best openers they've ever done. The end of the chorus took some getting used to, but I'm beginning to find that this song is one of my all time favourites. This song, in my opinion, is exponentially superior to "Terminal Show", which is by no means a weak track.
-This album, to me, is Lemmy's best vocal performance. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the lyrics.
-Speaking of lyrics, they actually had a lot of potential. A lot of them contain brilliant lines, thrown into a spur of the moment work of tongue in cheek blatancy and recycled expressions from previous songs. Despite their faults, they are rather entertaining.
-I was hoping to hear some uptempo, aggressive-melodic numbers. Hammered had "Voices from the War", and Inferno had "Down on Me". Kiss of Death is blessed with not one, but two of these, being "Trigger" and "Sword of Glory". And what monsters they are. Much like those songs mentionned from previous releases, these two new songs easily qualify as new favourites of mine.
-If I were to compile a cd of my favourite Motörhead songs, Kiss of Death might receive the most prominent representation. It's too bad the album as a whole felt so jagged.
-I hate Kingdom of the Worm. It would have been enjoyable, if it didn't sound so demonic. *tear*

Kingdom of the worm is getting better, but I still hate the bloody guitar squeak in the beginning... Can it be that Lemmy is looking for something to replace the hard hitting Sacrifice?

Aye, me too. But it's more likely we'll see Lemmy's solo album next.
Not that I'm complaining.
