Now, you may call me an insensitive cold fish but I'll freely admit that unless I log in here I'm not thinking of Lemmy on such a regular, daily basis any longer. And if we're honest, his death was not an untimely passing but we all expected it to happen sooner or later, didn't we - it's just this complete suddenness that came as a rude shock. So as to me, I suspect this desolate feeling of "something's really missing now" will probably not fully hit home for me until this time of the year draws nearer when the customary annual tour is supposed to kick off, and I'll finally realise there'll be no more gigs, interviews, live footage, news...... not to mention a new record. Never again.

Never again. Yeah, I know what you mean about the impending lack of Motorvember I'll be feeling very lost. The sadness has subsided a bit though, and although I have listened to at least a bit of Motorhead on a daily basis just as I did before, there's still a big difference - now, for some reason, if 'Til the End' comes on I just can't listen to it! It's a shame, I love that song so much, but it's still guaranteed to set me off I'm looking forward to a time when I can spin the whole of Bad Magic without a Kleenex break halfway through, haha!

Never again. Actually Regina I want to commend you for helping me deal with realizing the band we all love here is over. I guess in my mind I didn't think I was a true fan because I only saw Motorhead just the one time and at least 2 or 3 shows would validate my cred as a true fan. (Yes crazy I know) But you helped me realize it doesn't matter how many times we saw the band or how many records we have of the band, we are all equally fans of Motorhead. I felt like I let myself down for not going to one of their last shows by myself but I always made it a rule of thumb to take a buddy along especially at a club venue. At any rate, I am doing better now although on rainy days like we've had here in the US this week or bad days at work, I wish there was something from the band to look forward to this year. I realize now the music will stay even though the band is no more. I still have days of wishing the band was still around but I guess I am more accepting of the fact that nothing will bring Lemmy back now. I have found some peace in looking through old tour dates and thinking that I could have seen the band here and there if I would have been a fan in say 1994.

OK, it's time for a confession... something of an idiosyncrasy of mine. (probably some kind of weird OCD) That is, when I get something new by my favourite band, I don't listen to it until there is something to replace it. That goes for my favourite sci-fi series, Star Trek too.
This wasn't the case in the past, because I couldn't wait to get home from HMV with a new Motorhead record, and slam it onto the turntable. But as I've got older, I've leaned to wait, because you never know when there is nothing else to look forward to.
So, only last week did I listen to the last track on Bad Magic. Now... I am about to unwrap and watch the DVD, 'World is Yours Vol 2', the one with the blue/green cover.
I'll watch it with trepidation, because it was filmed just after I last met Lemmy in person, which was the last time he looked REALLY well. Once I've watched it, it's a sobering thought to think that I really have come to the end of my Motorhead journey. It was a fantastic 37 years or so, since November 1978, (when I first saw them live), and they have been the happiest moments of my life. But I will always have the memories.... and 37 years is a hell of a long time when you think about it. I will always have the music too, on my iphone, in the car, on the Mp3, everywhere really, so... ''if that's all there is, it ain't so bad'', as the great man sang,
Hmmmm, maybe I won't watch that DVD just yet...

I think it's the time of the year but I've been reminiscing about how this was the time of the year last year that the last Motorhead album was released and also around the time the last tour of Motorhead took place in the states and I unfortunately missed. I can honestly say music is not as fun to listen to or as exciting without our favorite band. I miss Lemmy's funny interviews, their awesome shows, and the anticipation of new music. I guess it's like with anything the first year is always the hardest but man I sure miss this band!

I think November will always be the worst time for us fans in the UK ,knowing theres no tour for us to look forward to. Another band that was a favourite of mine,Twisted Sister, have hung up their boots and retired and I have noticed on amazon that they have a few live albums due for release later on this year from their early years. That is what i'd like to see happen with Motorhead- some live albums from say before Wurzel left ( only because I think we have got enough after this era) , saying that - maybe up until the last 10 years or so -yep that would do nicely

9 months and it still hurts I miss the old bastard :-( Nothing is the same is it? No Motorhead gig ever again for me to look forward to. he was such a massive part of all our lives that we'll no doubt grieve in our own way for always. i feel bloody ancient now that I look back and realise my youthful Motorhead days are gone.
