Sorry I forgot, I also have AC/DC in Lisbon in May. I can't say I'm that fussed about another gig on this tour, but the meet up weekend should be epic. A big bunch of us are going from Friday to Sunday, so that should get messy

Currently Maiden at Download as, due to there no longer being the 2 Motorhead gigs I had this month, that is the only gig I currently have booked I might be doing Download now. I did have the TT booked up.For a ferry crossing and a week there in a tent ( one that's already there ) £1645. Well I fancied seeing Motorhead and its my lads birthday on the sunday(we would have been back for that as back Saturday night) so I cancelled the TT and changed it for the Southern 100 (a month later ,another road race in the Isle of Man- a week there in a hotel, ferry crossing on the bike -£675 !!!!) So should see you there now.I believe Killswitch Engage and Skindred are on the Saturday and Havok are on Friday so might do the weekend.

Major events so far for me:
MACHINE HEAD end of February in Hannover - a ride of 280 km, but given the fact it's a show without support bands and they've been known to play 2,5 hrs-gigs on their ongoing tour this far, I think it's safe to assume it'll be well worth the trip.
Then there's an absolute must-see, RICHIE BLACKMORES RAINBOW mid-June at Loreley open-air stage. Most likely this year's highlight for me.
And, as much as I might regret this, I swapped my MAIDEN ticket for one of BLACK SABBATH's farewell gigs (early June in Berlin). After all it's definitely the last opportunity to see Toni Iommi live on stage, whereas Maiden will hopefully still have a couple of years in them. So no rush there, I assume.

Well it would have been Motörhead on Friday 29th January. When I looked at Lufthansa's terms and conditions I figured cancelling the flight from Riyadh to London wasn't an option so I decided to fly anyway, even though it is just for one night. I looked at the gigs on that Friday in London and frankly they all look shit. So it's not really a gig, it's the The Kinks musical, Sunny Afternoon which I'm going to see with the missus. I plan to get a bottle of Jack on the way in duty free and polish that off before I fly back the next morning. If you see me staggering around Munich airport on Saturday afternoon, trying to find my connection to Riyadh with a bacon sandwich or Bockwurst in hand, you'll know why...

By the way, how many Lemmys are there in a Jack? I mean the official cocktail which seems to have the ingredients the wrong way around, that is too much Coke and too little bourbon.

Definitely my most awaited gig this year is Maiden next March, featuring Anthrax as special guest. I'd like to see the new Megadeth's lineup this year too. I think that both new drummer and guitar are way better than the previous ones. And I liked the new music samples so far.

Guitar work is very good, but how much the new guy inputted I don't know. Look forward to them touring the UK in the Summer apparently, although like some previous years it will probably end up just Download plus one mid week London gig

No Motorhead gigs in January, the AC/DC gig in May is out the window. Maiden better not cancel or else I'm gonna curl up in the corner and cry.
