>> Motorhead blows gasket << Lemmy collapses after gig
Lemmy, a man who once survived a two-week amphetamine bender on just two fruit pies and some yoghurt, was hospitalised last week for dehydration and exhaustion.
It was after a gig at Fury Fest in France. Despite 130 degree heat onstage, Lemmy insisted on doing the final two encores. Drummer Mikkey says, "We managed to get through Ace Of Spades, so I said 'come on Lemm, let's just skip the last one, Overkill'. But he said, "No Mikkey, we're doing 'Overkill' but maybe we can just play it a little slower... "
Lemmy's manager has been trying to get him to start a more healthy lifestyle so the European tour can continue. Lemmy has compromised... he's agreed to start adding ice cubes to his Jack Daniels.

I got that email (above) today and thought that Lemmy had another bad spell - but now I think it might be something old that was sent on to me ? Did anyone hear of him having another bad turn?

It's an excert from Popbitch - the Lemmy championing Media Bitchfest. Think the crux of the issue was that he's adding ice, it refers to the last bad spell. Not to worry!

I think I would collapse on stage after playing a Motorhead set in that heat and I'm only 31.

MOTORHEAD's LEMMY To Receive Inaugural 'Living Legend' Award At CLASSIC ROCK ROLL OF HONOR - July 27, 2005 Lemmy Kilmister, the notorious bass player and vocalist of Grammy-winning U.K. rock 'n' roll titans MOTORHEAD, will be honored with the very first "Living Legend" award at this year's inaugural Classic Rock Roll of Honor, organized by Classic Rock magazine. Taking place on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at London's Cafe De Paris, the Classic Rock Roll of Honor will celebrate the big names as well as the unsung heroes from the diverse world of rock 'n' roll and promises to take a fresh approach to the tired award ceremony format.

This is Throw Rag's second album. Lemmy does guest vocals on an excellent cover of Merle Haggard's "Tonight, the bottle let me down." His vocals sound incredible, though he only sings the chorus. I picked the album up today and was pleasantly surprised when I heard Lemmy's voice ringing in my ears.

The Vibrators have just announced that they are going to put together an album of "punk covers." Among these will be the Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer," sung by Lemmy. It's estimated that it will be released in March of 2006 and it may also be issued as a single.

What I am most curious about is how I look in teh Whorehouse blues video...
