That's a great interview by blackadder , cheers for that Motorola Yes, a great interview. I like this quote: "I think the classic lineup was the best. I always liked that speed infused energy that the classic lineup produced." I wonder if he meant that literally ? Anyway, I agree with him. The classic line-up was the best, but the one with Pete Gill was the second best in my book. Every song they produced during his short time in the band is a classic and they were great live.

I totally agree with you about the classic line up , I would have loved to have seen them. My first Motorhead gig was the Mayhem in May date , the first UK date as a 4 piece , and that line up was bloody superb .Good times ,the best

I have heard a bootleg from it, though. Do you remember when Pete messed up the intro to The Chase and Lemmy halted the band? A great show. I first saw them in Sweden in 1985. Same line-up, of course. Fantastic gig, loud as hell, I was deaf for a day or so after it...

The next motorhead gig I went to was the following year ,one of the 10th anniversary shows , the one when Phil Lynott played on Motorhead with them all. Not bad for my first 2 Motorhead gigs eh Got into the soundcheck ( let in by the Hells Angels who did security ) at Nottingham rock city on the rock n roll tour as well, another highlight Do you have the Mayhem in May gig then ? If not do you want me to do you a copy ?

Sorry for the late reply. Many thanks for the offer. I think I have the mayhem gig, probably on some old cassette tape. Do you have it in digital format? If so, I'm very interested.

Yes, I did good one with Pete. I liked even more with Lucas. With Michael Moorcock you should read and with Andy Colquhoun. They mention Lemmy also. Interview with Russell Hunter it seems stoped, he answered 30 questions and didn't last 20. We had small argument nothing serious but it seems he gave up. He was on all The Deviants and Pink Fairies albums.
