been listening to The Birthday Party cd quite a lot these days (an great German member on the imotorhead.com board found a copy for me!!).., Pete's drumming is goddamn excellent!! ;D I read (on the No Sleep or imotorhead.com board) that Lemmy dedicated Overkill during one of the UK shows to Pete..sounds like they're getting along quite well nowadays!

I always wondered what happened to Pete Gill. Being a huge fan of both Motorhead and Saxon, I always had a soft spot for the man and loved his drumming. He has a spectacular, if brief, discography that can hold its own against most other musicians and contains some of my favourite albums. Never met the guy but top man IMO.

He played the fastest song of all Motorhead career ... Locomotive ... insane skills on that song... Read on the frst page about he divorced from his wife... Read somewhere Pete is gay... what´s the truth? nothing against btw.

I think it was said because Pete looked after his appearance and was in the gym a lot.Thats the way I remember it ,(nothing with him actually being gay) I might be wrong.

Pete Gill contributed greatly to Motorhead both as a songwriter and as a drummer. I think every single track he played on is a classic. If you took the four tracks from No Remorse and the KBD B-sides (Under The Knife I and II), it would make a killer mini-album. Orgasmatron is one of Motorhead's best albums. Of course, he also played on the classic (and best) Saxon albums. An impressive discography, to say the least. I had the pleasure of seeing him live with Motorhead in 1985 and he was great.
I read somewhere that Pete was unwell and had trouble with his legs, which affected his ability to play drums. Does anybody know anything about this? It would be rather ironic since Pete was always a fitness enthousiast.
By the way, Pete did a great job on the Victim You album by Son Of A Bitch (featuring Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson), released in 1996. It's a very good album.

That's good to hear , imagine having someone like this a true friend , how cool is that . Anyway had Pete been seriously ill then like they said he was 10 ? years or so ago. is he fit and well now ?
