Merry Christmas Everyone!
I was at W.A.S.P.s final concert, held in Switzerland on the 22nd of December.
I hope they will return soon albeit Blackie's 'warning' that it would be '...quite a while until we return!'
In terms of pure musicianship this was the best concert I've ever attended, no bullshit. I noticed that Blackie uses 50/50 playback during the songs from 'Crimson Idol' but otherwise, the drummer: one of the best I've ever heard, bass: tight and thundering, lead guitar: brilliant, best I've come across so far. Blackie is in shape, angry, jumpy, obscene and highly political. During the last part of the show, playing classics like 'Love Machine', etc. his voice wasn't playback any longer and he still has my favorite yell of all the singers out there.
Fucking epic show, I think I'll stop right here and wish you all the best for next year!
