Well I like this one. Shake Your Blood is excellent (and the video is too). Some of the other pieces in the album (i.e. Red War) I really don't listen to but that's a genre thing I reckon. A really good one and a bravo to Dave Grohl. Cover art sucks. 4 out of 5. ;D

I borrowed it today, haven't given it a spin yet. I heard Shake Your Blood a while ago but can't remember too much about it. Lyrics are a bit cheesy though. I'd have preferred Lemmy to showcase his lyrical prowess more considering this is probably his highest profile thing for 20+ years.

Well thought... well the track's got lyrical prowess indeed... even if in the cheesy field. Looking for relief in your miserable life You need some rock 'n' roll, and you better get it right Got to roll them bones, do everything they say If your cool, then you're the fool, make it work, every day
Rock out - Do it quick My, my, my, let it rip Rock out - Feeling good Break your heart Shake your blood
Band up on the stage Crowd is going wild I love to see the women, babe I ain't in denial
Make you crazy too Make you shove it out Lookin' good, get some wood You knew you should, you knew you could
Rock out - do it now My, my, my, show me how Rock out - make it good Break your heart Shake your blood
Want to be a winner Want to be the man Want to make yourself insane Join up with the band
Want to fall in love Want to make your mark Want to get out on this tour Want to break a thousand hearts
Rock out - strike it rich My, my, my, it's a bitch Rock out - I knew you could Break your heart Shake your blood
Rock out - don't you stop My, my, my, like a rock Rock out - it's so good Break your heart Shake your blood Shake your blood Shake your blood
;D

Nah, those lyrics are a bit poor in my opinion.

But on the evidence of a single listen I give the album 3/5. Gets stronger towards the end I feel.

Strange thing on this album is the production. But I guess that's pretty inevitable, since it has to cover Lemmy to Max Cavalera to King Diamond Even stranger, I keep humming "red war will follow my enemies" in my head. ;D

I think it's a corker of an album although, to go against the field, I'll say that the first few tracks are the strongest. I love the track with Kronos and Cavalera, and the Lemmy one is very snazzy aswell. I'm also quite partial to the hidden track at the end, after King Diamond...
Overall, I did ove it but I'm waining a little. I'll not vote though - currently slipping from 4 to about 2.5...
Grohl rocks.

The tracks with Lem, Cronos, King Diamond, Max Cavalera rule, but there are some boring tracks like the C.O.C. track haven't listened to the album that much...

You know what, I only listen to it on the Foo Fighters site and just had a look and couldn't find it back. I have to go and get it, or see if they got it at the library.

ER? Haha, fantastic. Even if I somehow know the video will be seen on the dirty tv screen of some incredibly weird guy heading for a gruesome death. Too bad.

"I am the warlock" is also cool I think, with Jack Black.
