What I admire in Mustaine is his resilience. I have the impression that everything he does, he does out of spite, but he's very effective at it, so good for him.

You beat me too it Regina I have just seen this, and while its terrible that he had it,its certainly a relief that he is expected to be ok.

Slightly off-topic, but if only RJD would have gone earlier to see the doctor about his stomach troubles .....

Yes, though I find it horrifying that the tumour was on his tongue of all places. I believe he's my favourite singer bar none, as far as voice and style go, and this incident does sound like a cruel twist of fate. I hope he comes back swinging. He most probably will. Also true about RJD there.

Was a great shock about Bruce but we live in hope early diagnosis and treatment will work. WE better go and see these bands while we can, friends! AS Mr Lard said to me recently, we don't want Blaze Bayley back do we?!

More important, we don't want more Steve Harris solo stuff

I actually have the impression that the British Lion stuff could be good with an entirely different singer. As it is, everything sounds out of tune and baffling. I remember they did a tour. I wonder how well it worked out.

small shows, didn't seem sold out but they toured just after the IM shows in summer and money didn't allow. Much prefer adrian Smiths solo projects to anyone elses, Primal Rock Rebellion was a superb album, which probablt sold about 5 copies

The band are now talking up the new album apparently, so hopefully we'll get that soon along with another in door tour, but this scare (let's hope that all it ends up being and that Bruce is fully recovered and stays that way) could sound the death knell for Maiden after that. I reckon the arse end will shortly fall out of my world to be honest. Once we lose Maiden, Motorhead (that will happen soon for sure sadly) and AC/DC ( I can't see any more from them after this without Malcolm), I've lost my big 3. May have to hang my speakers up, pass the baton to the kids, and save whatever shred of hearing I still have left if that happens. Regards Steve's solo stuff, what it needed was Bruce on vocals to be honest. The songs were okay but they had no bite, and none of them grabbed you. A big vocalist would have beefed them up no end. And as it was Steve's solo effort why wasn't the bass more prominent like it is with Maiden? Wasted opportunity
