While I have thought about several things since Lemmy's passing, a couple of interesting things of note have come to mind. On a sad note, Motorhead never made it back to Hammersmith for the anniversary show that Lemmy mentioned a couple of months ago they might film since it was going to be a big event. On the flip side, maybe it was fitting Motorhead's last show was in Germany because as Lemmy has stated before that Germany "saved our asses" at a time when no one would hardly book the band to play anywhere else back in the 90's.

To be honest i'm obviously gutted that we never got to see them in a few weeks time ,but if it had have been filmed i'm not sure whether I would have bothered with it.Dont get me wrong i'm sure I would have loved the gig caught up in the adrenalin rush that is Motorhead , but whether I would have watched it back i'm not so sure. It's like on facebook at the moment -everyone seems to be playing Motorheads last gig/song ( i'm not sure -I haven't watched it myself) but i'd rather watch Lemmy /Motorhead in their prime-like the Finland gig on youtube Desertrat mentioned. Now that's what I fucking miss  |

On a related note, the two Motörhead shows in Munich last November were filmed professionally to be released on DVD later on - here's hoping for a bit of additional footage like behind-the-scene shots, interviews, crowd atmosphere etc; otherwise I don't think I'll be buying it
