I have a bottle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Coca-Cola waiting in the fridge. I'll be raising my glass for Lemmy.

Wow, that was fitting. It starts with his son, it ends with a bass feedback. Also Dave Grohl tells a secret, but Lemmy's ghost scrambles the stream. People who don't want to tell anecdotes, then tell anecdotes. Lars Ulrich looking like a hobo. Lemmy has left the building. So perfect.

I'm a drunk and lazy bastard so I'll just copy my post from the other topic. I believe I was supposed to send it here originally. My apoligze. Im drunk.
"I'm a man who usually doesn't show his emotion but I gotta say here that Lemmy's memorial service burst me into tears couple of times. As I remember Lemmy has said "A man who cant cry, isn't a man."
First was when Mikkey was talking. There was such a true missing for a lifelong friend. Last was when they put Lemmy's bass feedback one last time against hi's amps. That moment was just so clearing that it was the last time Lemmy's bass is going to be used and like after everyone of hi's shows he'd hit the bass and leaned it against the cabinet's to let it feedback.
Hi's memorial service was absolutely beautfiul. So much love in the room and warmth in the stories.
Lemmy truely was the last true rock 'n' roll pirate but still the was 100% gentleman through his life.
Rock In Peace Lemmy. We will always miss you."

What a very moving tribute to our dear, departed Lem that was. My wife Nikki woke me up on Face Time at 2am Saudi time, 11 pm UK time so we could watch it together. The urn in the shape of his hat choked me up I must say. Together with his boots, the pictures and the flowers, it was fitting. As much as I wanted to cry at various points like Rotte, I was moved to laughter many times by what people had to say when recalling his many witty turns of phrase. Telling his German PA, 'I thought there was something wrong with you but no, you are German' then asking her to do the John Cleese Silly Walk, might be seen as politically- incorrect but I thought it was hilarious and so did those gathered at the service. His son Paul Inder was a credit to his father and gave a truly wonderful eulogy. I see the BBC have put up a nice piece on the service and the fans gathering at The Rainbow - wish I could have been there- it's at www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35261412
