It was a pretty good crowd. The place seemed packed, probably around 5000-6000 people.
Unfortunately I missed Girlschool. Too bad, since I've never seen them in concert.
Saxon were great, as usual. Biff sings as if it was 1983. Amazing. Most of their set was from the glory days between 1980 (Wheels of Steel) and 1984 (Crusader). The new tracks sounded pretty good, though. I don't think Saxon have played this venue since 1984 (when I saw them on the Crusader tour) or maybe 1985.
Motorhead opened with Bomber and the set was the same as in Gothenburg. Their performance was pretty much as many of you have experienced it lately and as I had expected it to be: Lemmy's voice was weak and often off time (especially in the faster songs), his bass playing was OK but lacked the power of yore, he was slurring between songs and didn't move around much. On the other hand, he managed to pull through the entire set and delivered a fairly good performance considering the circumstances. Lemmy sounded good on the slower songs like Lost Woman Blues and Whorehouse Blues. Of course, you can't compare this performance to when Lemmy was in his prime in the 80's and 90's (even the 00's), but I 'm pretty happy with the show. If it's the last show I ever see from Motorhead, I'm pretty happy. Mikkey and Phil both performed admirably, especially Mikkey. He did his best to propel the band.

Haha this sounds remarkably like my experience in Germany, even down to missing Girlschool! I was gutted too as I didn't mean to miss them, I just got lost on my way from the pub to the venue..... Saxon have probably won themselves a few fans on this tour, I really enjoyed their set last month I think Motorhead are gonna have to cut the tours a bit shorter now though - Lem didn't seem too slurry/wheezy/knackered when I saw them but then that was only the second show of the tour....... Glad Phil's OK though
