Drinking some Jack Daniels Honey flavor before boarding my flight to Paris as a goodbye and toast Motorhead's 40 years!

Just got back to Riyadh via Paris. Up for work in 5 hours but I am still on a high from the Motorboat experience. Great for other bands too I'd never have checked out including Kyng, Crobot and Motorsister on the last day who all put in great performances. Crobot's singer finished their set by jumping off the stage, climbing up the metal lighting rig in front of the stage, damaging a light as he stood up and nearly slipped, then dived in fully clothed from roughly 15 feet to amazed cheers!
I forgot to mention Phil and Mikkey mischievously put in a few seconds of jazz between Power and No Class, to which Lemmy ordered them to 'stop that. Fucking shit. I hate fucking jazz.' No John Coltrane for Lem for Xmas then.

Who could forget the Motorboaters, their t-shirts and their sometimes bizarre antics. My favourite non band t-shirt slogan of the boat was 'My parents told me I could grow up to be what I wanted. So I became an asshole.!'
The couple who couldn't wait to get to their room so used the swimming pool for their lovemaking was a 'romantic' moment. Eavesdropping on Exodus at breakfast was strange for me as I'd last seen them at Manchester Apollo supporting Venom in 1986. Having breakfast at the aft of the boat to the tones of Tim Ripper Owen, one-time Judas Priest singer, screaming Green Manalishi every morning was quite surreal. The final night roast from a fat American comedian was vicious but hilarious. He didn't take the piss out of Motörhead though, as he said if he did someone would kill him!

Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to tea it all. Sorry about double posts and typos but internet connection was atrocious and the reviews were done in the dark between songs! At around 9.30 last night the band made an appearance on the top deck stage to cut a 40th anniversary cake. I'll post a couple of pictures at rasnagam.tumblr.com because I can't get to my laptop to edit the photos to post here. Lemmy walked on with his cane and cut the cake said thanks and Phil said 'you all wanna piece of the cake? Of course you fucking do!' It was creamy sponge with a strawberry jam layer.. Yum! You are a legend Desert Rat, those reviews made my night. So pleased to hear that Lem was strong, as he was on the Motorboat last year, when we were all worried sick remember?

I also saw them in Newcastle on the same tour. I enjoyed Exodus on the Motorboat but memories of those gigs were they were the unexpected bonus in the Venom tour. Bonded By Blood had just come out if I remember rightly and there was a buzz about them going ground. There was a thug element about them but that only added a bit of excitement to proceedings. They were hungry back then as I was too! ?

I'll post a link later so you can view them for yourself though I don't know what the deal is with his photos. . Scott Nathanson, Photographer has a website at sflonstage.com Scott@PhotosByScott.net Motorboat 2014 photos are up on his site and he will be adding 2015 soon.

Had a great time meeting up at Hard Rock Cafe with Luc and his friend Vicki. She runs a Heavy Metal bar in Fredericksburg, Texas which sounds like a great place to visit for live bands, good sounds including Motorhead of course and great food and drink. I believe it's called Der Deuwel, which is Luxembourgisch for Holy Smoke! We went for Cuban coffee, Bahamian rum cake and to buy some Cuban cigars at the Cuban Cafe around the corner from the Jarley Davidson store in Nassau. Vicky works with her sister at Der Daiwel Rock Bar in in Texas. If you are passing through it is at 321 E.main Street. Their website is www.derdaiwelfbg.com open every day from 4.00pm to 2.00am. Support this heavy metal bar as they are Motörhead fans.

Oh gawd! I've tried to copy and paste the photo but I confess I am not tech-savvy with this one. I managed to put it on tumblr at rasnagamal.tumblr.com. Anyway, it is the fourth photo up on the site. If anyone can post it here, you are a better dude/dudette than me! (That would be most of you!)
