SETLIST: www.setlist.fm/setlist/motorhead/2015/daebu-sea-breeze-theme-park-ansan-south-korea-2bf61032.htmlSo Motorhead played their first ever show in Korea, my homeland. I had seen them once back in '04 at Arrow Rock Festival in Holland. Still one of my top gigs. Poor Scorpions and Judas Priest could not follow them at all. And I walked out a lifelong fan. Never ever in my wildest dream I had imagine them ever coming to Korea. But for whatever reason, it happened. And despite all my worries, the show was a success, enough for me to think that they must have made another batch of lifelong fans here. Lemmy looked to be in a reasonably good form, constantly throwing jokes around with Phil. And for some reason he looked like he has gained a bit of weight compare to Glastonbury footage which was good to see. As soon as they launched into We Are Motorhead, I was amazed by how they sound EXACTLY the same the way they sounded 11 years ago. I guess it didn't broke so they never fixed it. Surely they were playing slower and Lem was hardly moving etc. But all those stuff that made me worried, didn't bother me at all in person. The power was there. Mikkey impressed hell a lot of crowd with his constant pounding drum sound. And I've noticed that Phil has so much better stage presence now. He has a lot more on his shoulder these days, taking care of Lemmy and making up for the lack of action from him. But he stepped up to the task wonderfully and received loud pop from the audience throughout the show. My friends kept talking about how badass he was. Love him. The show didn't go without a mistake though. Lemmy took a wrong start for the 1st verse of 'Going to Brazil' and subsequently went all over the place. Phil literally stood right in front of him and tried to get him on track, to no avail from Lemmy of course. It was so bad that they had to cut it short. I don't think it lasted any longer than a minute. Have no idea if Lem was singing the correct song either. Have to check out youtube later on. But I was in such a great mood I just laughed about it. Don't think majority of the crowd knew the song anyway. Phil joked about it being the special version for Korea and even Lemmy acknowledged the fuck up before starting Ace of Spades. All in all, crowd loved it, and band seemed enjoying it too. As for me I just rock the fuck out like I've got no tomorrow. I was just glad I'm having the chance to see them and listen to these songs live again. I couldn't help but getting misty eyed at the end though as my enjoyment was with a mixed emotion. Make no mistake they still sound really great and sound like proper Motorhead. But I could tell that Lemmy doesn't have too many of these left in him. Adding the thought that this will probably going to be the last time I see him, I couldn't help. Would love to be proven wrong though. Few pics taken by me:

"motorchang" I understand how you feel. I met Phil Campbell (he is wonderfull man) but my eyes got misty many times because I didnt met Lemmy ever in my life and I would like to speak with him all night about Motorhead, rnr, music industry, and world war 2 stuff.... and even he would like me or not I know he would have with me very very interesting conversation throu night. Thats my wish, to bad it would never become reality. Lemmy dont know what kind of people he didnt met yet . And this "special version for Korea" is good humor, typical Motorhead, Monthy Python Lemmy stuff. I was watching how he fucked up "rock out" starting to sing "we are motorhead", I was down on my knees from laugh.. I cant find that on youtube anymore someone remove it but I put that here in those days. Well, I understand your emotions, same as mine, only thing is bad that I want them to know me, to talk with them and drink just one night, its enaf for me, I think we could have a many themes to discuss and same humor. When I approch to Phil in 2006 on 11 Jun, and say to him; You wasnt here (in croatia, former yugoslavia) 15 years??!! You know what he replie? He said: Well, it was forth for waiting! I was laughing so hard.... thats Phil, thats Motorhead. Only I would like to Lemmy know me and hear all my thoughts about music, thats my whish....

I wasn't ask him about former yugoslavia, croatia. I was asking him for Zagreb. Well, it was almost 10 years ago, forgot. And not only Pula 2002, I was in Slovenia (former yugoslavia) on their show in 1999 too. So, I ask him about Zagreb and got that reply, sorry.

blackadder: any idea, which show it was, Lemmy fucked up 'Rock out'? Few weeks ago, I searched it on youtube cause I remembered, that I saw this clip some years ago, it must have been during the UK tour back in November 2010 I think.

Thank you all for kind words. Cheers everybody. What's so great about seeing Motorhead again in my homeland is that now I can share this memory with many friends, and contribute my part here with my story for all you to enjoy as well. I was all alone 11 years ago. I've been trying to explain the power of mighty Motorhead to people here for a long time. Now they can see why. The headliner of the night was Foo Fighters. I had no intention to see them at all but some of my friends wanted to check them out so I stayed. Three songs in, they all agreed that there's no point anymore. After Motorhead, it was all tame to say the least. How's that for a first impression? Job well done by the boys, typical. Thanks buddy. I could have spent more time on it but it was getting late and I wanted to get it off my chest ASAP. Yep that was my first show. Such a great memory, topless girls and all! We all love their sense of humour. Wish I could meet anyone of them. Time is running out... Great review, great pcis! Thx a lot! Would it be ok, if I put the pics into my tour archive on my MH website? Yep I'd be happy to contribute my part! Help yourself. What's the address of your web site?

Was it somewhere from the south, or west coast? Or was it Germany? If I remeber right it was not place where they play every year, maybe I will remember eventualy. And it was not open air if I remember right. But I found this incident from Belgrade in 2002, some stupid man throw glass or bottle on stage. Lemmy remembers incident from 1989 from Ljubljana. "But I found this incident from Belgrade in 2002"
- ha, that video was uploaded by me ('ISB' on Youtube)... it was filmed by my friend Aleksandar Polzovic from way in the back of the Tasmajdan stadium, but of course back then there were no cell phones in the audience and everyone jumped around, so I'm thankful we even got that on video. I was with my brother in front of the stage, of course... we got really worried during the incident when they left the stage after only 30 minutes; you don't see in the video as it cuts, but the pause was much longer, and Vlada Jankovic Dzet who I'm sure you've heard of, blackadder, came out and reminded us of the Ljubljana incident and begged not to throw anything anymore on the stage. Luckily, no one did and the guys came back and finished the gig. The whole concert (90 minutes) was filmed, including the press conference and the soundcheck.
I wish there was a vid of motorchang's topless chicks, though!

This is full video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeetj2QqvMAI thought it was during a tour, they opened with WAM and also played 'Rock out', so it could be Europe in late 2010 or USA/Canada in early 2011. Btw: still loving 'Dirty love' from 2009, unbelievable.. in 2011 they put 'I'm your sister' back to the set (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjlQ1UiezIQ - the date in the video isn't correct), also one of this great moments.
