Escalandrum is a musical sextet from Argentina that fuses jazz, tango and other rhythms. Escalandrum's drummer is Pipi Piazzolla, grandson of the famous tango composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla.
And Marty Friedman... well, you all must now who he is!
So, this is from last night in Buenos Aires. Hope you enjoy it!

Uiiii Pedro, that's some pretty unique stuff ;D ....... Being a brave girl I made it through the whole 10 minutes but gotta admit my ears are simply not built to digest such jazzy sounds, lol. As for classic Tango I'm afraid being Northern European I've got no clue about that either, but I'm aware it's so-to-speak national heritage in your country; at least I've heard about famous Sr. Piazolla and his pieces, but that's about it, sorry ..... Pasi might be a bit more educated in that direction, the Finnish have got their own version of Tango . (Apropos Marty Friedmann, I remember reading some article a few days ago where he claims he as well as Nick Menza were recently re-offered their former positions in Megadeth (after Broderick and Drover left), but says he didn't feel like accepting 'cause it would have been a huge step backwards for him. Not only financially, I suppose - the two Daves are said to be a bit errr special. Sure, that's nothing but gossip and airing some dirty laundry as always with Blabbermouth & Co.; but I'd say *good for him*, he's doing just fine in Japan.
