A bit of a mixed bag for me the last weeks; apart from Bad Magic and Book of Souls I got
1) ARMORED SAINT ~ "Win Hands Down"
2) CRADLE OF FILTH ~ "Right Wing of the Garden Triptych"
and
3) SLAYER ~ "Repentless"
(which I haven't listened to yet)

1) Iron Maiden - Book of Souls (ok, just too long and bit repetitive)
2) Slayer - Repentless (much better than I thought, the best from them in a while)
3) Motorhead - Better Motorhead than Dead (I just had never picked up)
4) Pentagram - Curious Volume
5) Lupe Fiasco - Tetsuo & Youth

2 x DEEP PURPLE live (both of them triple vinyl): "From the setting sun in Wacken...." ".....to the rising sun in Tokyo" Nothing but well-known tracks so I sincerely doubt they'll ever be exposed to the needle; but being such a manic DP-completionist I just couldn't let them sit on the shelve of my local record store when I stopped by after work today. Limited Box, White vinyl, Cassette (still waiting to arrive) , German and Brazilian Jewel cases ... promo and single  and even an advertise from a record shop very lucky to find.. cheers |

I'm with Motorjazd with all the super-heavy stuff and the black metal - my Open University course has started again and when I'm trying to concentrate it's fatal to put on anything catchy that I can sing along to! Burzum was keeping me company last week.... When I don't have to concentrate on studies though it's been Maiden's Book of Souls - I think I actually need to seek professional help to get that off my car stereo, I literally can't stop hitting play!  I liked it on the first listen, but never thought it would grow to become one of my very favourite albums of all time, haha! Can't fucking wait to see them at Download next year!! |
