But there's nowt more Doom than Orgasmatron - especially last time Motorhead played it which was very very sludgy ohboy!! ok, I'm off on a search: I'm sure there is some crappy recording of it on youtube (the original is one of my favorite Motörhead songs). Hope you found 1! Just coz they play so slow now which is a great thing coz live-wise the groove in all Motorhead songs really proper hits ya. But Orgasmatron last time at Hammersmith was the total doom song of forever like. The lyrics have always been ultimate doom but when it is played REALLY SLOW it churns everything.

No, I haven't found it (yet). But I'll take your word for it. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up two albums at the record store of a close friend of mine (Shellac - love Albini's frustrated rage sound - and De Kift - Dutch punk inspired weirdness). I hear the new Yob album is excellent. I probably should save my money, but chances are I'll get that one as well.

Orgasmatron the song on the album was very mid-paced and with that weird Laswell sound was always more doom, even before the lyrics are proper listened to! Then when Motorhead speeded it up it lost a lot of it's edge. Then when they briefly brought it back a few years ago, with them playing a lot slower now (which I love, coz the groove they nail when they slow stuff down is wonderous), and the black and the green light, and Lemmy drawling them words, is proper Doom as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah the new Shellac thing is great. Gary!
