Aftershock itself I like, but I didn't really investigate the Tour Edition. The first impression is it being something alike the recent The Wörld is Ours duology. As in , Motörhead management squeezing Motörhead. Then again, I've been wrong before.

I like Aftershock as a newer album a lot. Different songs, slow ones, speedy ones, full speed ones and thats when I like Motörhead most .... on full speed. So all in all I think it's a very good album.
About the live tour edition, same setlist as usually except for Lost Woman Blues, but will buy it when it's available. Hope it will surprise me in positive way !!!

I'd certainly be tempted if it came with a Live-DVD, but since it doesn't, it looks a bit of a cash grab on part of the management to me ~ speaking of which, what does you lot think of the Motörboat-cruise? VERY Rock'n'Roll, eh? Okay okay, just petty gripes ..... Sent from my XT910 using proboards

i like aftershock now more than before, but to be honest i'm not interested in tour edition AT ALL
i got both volumes of the the world is ours and i'm not impressed at all, kinda useless releases. i think they should change concept of MH live albums and use NSTH recipe (comp from various gigs). it is the only way to make interesting live album again, because they no longer perform such long sets, and huge part of the set take songs like metropolis, ace of spades, overkill, killed by death, going to brazil, stay clean, over the top......
so after those mandatory tracks, what's left to preform? probably another standard songs which ain't allways on the list and probably one song from current album
so there is no suprises at all in the new live recordings of the band

Listening to the Live CD of the Aftershock Tour Edition right now. Same setlist as we all know, nothing new, but it has a great sound imo. Well worth listening to it, too bad there's only one Aftershock song on it. I would love to hear more songs of this album at upcoming gigs !!!!

I think we'll be disappointed Hielke, I think the old faves will prevail. But who knows, maybe the multiple sets required of them on the Motorboat may bring some surprises out of them. we live in hope, and hey, gigs are gigs, I wont be disappointed if they complete the set every night

rockin' aftershock right now
in the start, i wasn't impressed with this record at all. but i must say, it's really good. in fact, it's better like 100 times than their worst record - the world is yours.
to give the final judgement about album, it will take some time, since i still didn't menage to overplay it, and it's still fresh record so it could also be one of the factors that make is more fun than other albums, but it's good enough.
best tracks are coup de grace, list woman blues, do you believe, dust and glass, crying shame and queen of the damned

Something like NSTH concept? . But in those days (1981) they were only vinyl's so that concept was normal for that time, today everythig from one show is live album. Thats what Lemmy said somewhere I cant remember where.. However, Tour Edition, was released as 'Live Best Of' not as classic Live Album as far as I know. I dont see point too, mybe they should just put on cd one bonus track live version of 'Lost Woman Blues' and thats it.
