Okay, so I've been out of the loop. I never listened to them. Are they actually good?

Okay, so I've been out of the loop. I never listened to them. Are they actually good? Its Phil and his 3 sons and a singer. They mainly play Motorhead stuff. This was their setlist from Norwich last year Children of the Grave Cat Scratch Fever Iron Fist Nutbush City limits Born to Raise Hell . Dog-Face Boy Over Your Shoulder . Over the Top Orgasmatron
. Killed by Death . Ace of Spades Jumpin' Jack Flash Encore: Come Together Communication Breakdown Me and the misses saw them in Milton Keynes last year, where we also had the pleasure of meeting Tim for the first time as well.

they're very good, Phil is in his element, small venues cranking out Head and some favourite cover tunes, when they did Come Together and the Zep tune he was blissed out, played his little socks off! And forums help us make some bloody good friends, all over the world!

Gig report- got to the venue around 9-45 where I met a couple of mates. The venue is a nightclub that obviously has bands on now and again. I had been to the same place a few weeks ago to watch Cradle of Filth, but there must be at least 2 rooms there because Cradle played in the bigger room where it was packed.Phil therefore played in the smaller room where, unfortunately ,it was pretty bloody empty .Maybe 60 /80 people, but filling up later which was strange. The reason being ,that being a nightclub, people were coming in/walking through and having a look, that were ready for the club night-definitely not into the likes of Motorhead!!! A few stopped and watched for a while but I just found that really strange ( with Cradle I didn't see any other people apart from people that you associate with rock/metal-last night there was as many dance clubbers as the rock brigade- and at the end we were outnumbered by a lot) Anyway to the gig.I only caught the end of the first band but they seemed ok.Buffalo Summer where on next-worth seeing.Just a good old fashioned rock band that played for around 30 minutes-despite the lack of people(when they started there was only 4 people watching-we were at the bar drinking bloody coke,so were only feet away). But towards the end a few more people took notice.I did notice Phils lads at the front watching. They played all their own stuff which was good.Dont think they are ever going to be much more than a pub band but neverthe less they were very enjoyable,so good luck to them. Then at 11-30 on came Mr Campbell and family!! From last years set out went iron fist, over your shoulder, and jumping jack flash and in came Deaf forever, rosalie and damage case. .There were excellent, still strange hearing someone "singing" the likes of orgasmatron,if you know what I mean. The sound was very good and clear and ,once again, they all looked like they were enjoying themselves. But Phil must think about the crowd,"is this it!!!- fuck me I hope Motorhead continues for a few more years cause im not gonna get a living out of this" So all in all a good night-especially for a fiver. And going back to the Cradle gig -I met some bloke and got chatting, told him about Phil being there and how it would be worth a look, and then bumped into him last night where he thanked me for letting him know as he would never had bothered otherwise. So the morale of this story -spread the word

nice one, deaf forever as well! Its strange, the Motorhead name doesn't appear to pull any numbers unless its the whole band. Saturday night + £5 a ticket + guitarist from Motorhead = pisspoor attendance. Makes no sense. His band is excellent, he lets one of his lads do some of the solos too. He' s started venturing into Europe a bit too, and I suspect would pull bigger crowds there too. Glad you enjoyed, good review
