Been to a dussin mhgigs and one thing that strikes me is Phils backing vocals before I go bashing I must say I really like them and the complement Lem well. But the thing that´s nagging me that they are quite high pitched almost like a squel, it might be them ciders. I´m not a singer but don´t they sound a tad of key? Here´s a vid to set an example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiPgg_TJWwg&feature=relatedAs I said earlier I like his backing vocals but those high notes from Phil a hell it might just be a fucked up mic.

They're generally terrible and wince-worthy. At least what I've heard.
When I initially read through your post I thought that you'd likened the high pitched vocals to that of a squirrel and it made me laugh even more.

Yeah his strength is 6-strings, but sometimes he must hit the right notes. Even great backing singers sometimes fuck up, saw the Maiden Rock am Ring webcast and Adrian Smith, who is normally cracking singing, was wailing like a banshee all over the place

Indeed his singing should be lovely, boyo....! STOP IT! Off topic, but I worked for a welsh firm for awhile and one day while visiting a site the fire alarm went, so we all trooped outside and they did the staff rollcall. Honestly, they were on the Evans for about 5 minutes and then when the Jones started it went on forever.

I have now got 7 people with the surname 'Roberts' in my iphone contacts, and SIX of them are called DAVID!

You see, we couldn't make it up! Great country and people though. Don't get me started on the "Is it / Isn't it?" dialogue thing, had a conversation that went on for about 3 hours cos of all the confusion that caused!
