When Lucus Fox left Motorhead and Phil joined, the "On Parole" sessions were finnished and Phil jumped in to do drum overdubs over Lucas's work. Phil finnished 90% of the work and 10% of "On Parole" has Lucas playing drums. Why? What happened to Phil?

Well... I'm not sure that this is the truth but I've read it somewhere... Philthy was arrested for "disorderly behaviour" or something like that on his way to the studio the last day, so he couldn't make a overdub of the remaining song "Lost Johnny". However the bonus tracks on the remastered CD On parole is the remain of Foxs' work in Motörhead, except for Lost Johnny that is. This recording is taken from the "Master room acetate" wich features; Lost Johnny, Motorhead / Leaving here, City kids.

You guys are close enough, according to legend the police were banging on the door and Phil started swallowing his stash of pills, and woke up 3 days later in jail, and by that time studio time was over.

I have a Motorhead book somewhere at my mom's house with that story in it. I'll have to swing by to see if I can dig it up. I think I might have read it on the liner notes on one of thier albums too.
