After one almost sleepless night at the Stansted airport, we arrived to the sunny Dublin. Found our hotel and the venue easily. Went to see our other big love among MH, Therapy?, playing acoustic set at HMW on Grafton street. Nice set and had quick chat with Andy, Michael & Neil. Then off to hotel to get changed and get ready for a fan meeting at Foggy Dew near Olympia. Great pub, great beer, great people. Off we go to Olympia and almost the same time we get to the standingarea with our pints, Therapy? starts playing, and whatta blinder set they play. After this I think that Motörhead have to do their best as Therapy? was so FANTASTIC! Half an hours waiting and there they are: Lem, Phil and Mickey enter the stage and they are FANTASTIC and it feels the gig last forever. With three new songs and Rosalie as cover, the set is perfect! Thank god they have dropped Ramones off (IMO). Before the night began, it´s over and time to leave the place with a happy smile on our faces. Off to the nearest pub and then down to sleep. At this age it cannot be "no sleep at all" any more After spending 22 hours on three different airports and four different planes, Therapy? and Motörhead, Kossu Pete & Kati salutes you! Setlist: Dr rock Stay clean Be my baby Killers Metropolis Over the top One night stand I got mine Tragedy Dancing on your grave Sword of glory Rosalee Sacrifice Power (Lem played his new "flamy" Inferno bass on this) Brazil Killed by death Iron fist Whore house blues Ace of spades Overkill

Interesting set list........ I Like the fact there is so much recent material, 3 from KOD, 3 from Inferno. I would like to see more stuff from Bastards and Overnight Sensation, but what would you cut from the set?
Nice to see them doing "Rosalie", can't wait to hear it myself, though there is a bit of 'em soundchecking "Rosalie on the Stagefright documentary.
Incidentally, does anyone else think two b-sides is excessive, when classics like "Bomber", and "Orgasmatron" are cut from the set?

That's a fantastic setlist. Although, I wish they would change the opener already. I like Dr. Rock, but there are better songs.
"Sucker" would work just fine.

Great they dropped R.A.M.O.N.E.S. Sucker would be better than Dr. Rock. A Bomber would beat an Iron fist everyday.

Yeah, I totally understand why they kept R.A.M.O.N.E.S. in the set for as long as they did, but does "Going to Brazil" have to be on every tour?
Apart from "Rosalie" there aren't any suprises this time around, which is a shame. "Sucker" would be a great opener, but how about "See me burning" from WAM? Or "On your feet or on your knees" followed (natch) by "Burner"?
Of the older songs I would love to hear "We are the Road Crew" and "Motorhead" or at a stretch "Iron Horse".
What about you guys?

I would love to hear the last three songs you mentionned in the setlist.
I would drop Over The Top in exchange for another tune such as Stone Dead Forever. I would really like to hear them play that number live these days.

Going to Brazil was first played at Hultsfredsfestivalen, Swedenback in 1989 I think it was... So if it hasn't been out of the set I guess it's a hell of a Marathon...

Well that's long enough in my book, don't get me wrong it's a good song, but classics like "Bomber", "Iron Fist" and "Orgasmatron" get dropped from time to time, and there are better songs that deserve an airing. Think about it, how many classic tracks have never once been played live, yet they put b-sides and covers in the set? It just don't seem right to me! Rant over - I thankyou!

One highlight for me in the set was when Lemmy had his new "Inferno" style bass on stage! He looked like a kid with a new toy Mikkey had his birthday and the crowd sang for him, that was nice too! Yeah, Sucker would have been a strong opener, but you cannot have everything, can you? Brazil and Iron should have been "cleaned" too from the list and replaced with newer stuff like "Trigger" and "In the black (from Inferno)" IMO

I don't know why more bands don't have a variable set list from show to show. It would surely be more fun for the band and the crowd.

Ill back dmh in favor of hearing Iron Horse and On Parole too. Motorhead has so many good songs and they play a lot of them but I love it when they do one Ihavent heard in so long I don't remember what its called or how half the lyrics go. "no way! Jack the Ripper? I missed this song!"
