" 'Overkill' got fucked up, and I'm still sad about that because I did a wonderful drawing of 'Overkill,' " he (Joe Petagno) says with a degree of disappointment. "Lemmy and I still talk about it, but these things happen. The drawing was fucking great, I still have the original sketch and it was so over the top. I was in an enormously difficult time in my life, I had a lot of personal problems, and when the time came to finish that painting I just didn't have it. "So just to get it out the door I spent about 12-14 hours on it, which was short because usually I spend at least 25-30 hours on one. And it always looked like that. Lemmy knew it and I knew it. There was a lot more 'explosion' and pieces, it needs another dimension and a layer of pieces. That sleeve gives me nightmares whenever I see it, because I know how much better it'd have been if I'd been more stable. I remember everything that was happening in my life and it was all total fucking crap!"
Snatched from the booklet of "Protect the Innocent" written by Steffan Chirazi. If you want to read the whole essay get the above mentioned box.

Try it in DualDisc incarnation. Both sides are just great sound wise. Won't regret it!

With this album it all started for me. When I heard Overkill for the first time I was hooked immediately. Went to the store with my older brother and bought the album, I must have been 15/16 years old or so ..... time flies.
