Why? Scorpions are one of his idols. He listen their music. Actualy he likes bands from 70's the most even Scorpions are older. And he likes this hair metal shit like Europe or whatever.. I respect him, but his image was more for King or something, even he knows how to play whatever you want on drumms. Philthy was Motorhead drummer in every way. Campbell is strange one, you couldnt put him in any box. Wurzel was one of these not fit in Motorhead guys. He was more for metal stuff. However, Scorpions are Mikkey music he grew up on, he listen that, so I think maybe some people have wrong picture about him. I know, some see him as King Diamond drummer and thats it. But he listen and like to play Yes, this Scorpions, Europe you know.. This King Diamond thing is more like job and these bands from 70's are what he likes. The same feeling I got about Lemmy, Motorhead with all this rnr, and than one or two songs per album like "Kingdom of the worm", "Red Raw" etc... for metal fans, I cant see he enjoy in that. Proof is The Head Cat, thats his music, not "Kingdom of the worm" song or such songs, thats job. If thats his music, than he would make band to play only that songs like he had The Head Cat. There are some bussiness decisions (like Lemmy on songs like Kingdom of the worm) which every artist do, but some people dont get it.
So I cant understand this dignity stuff. Some guy (and there much more like him) said something similar, that "Mikkey wasted his time playing with Motorhead. That he should play with bands like King Diamond". Dont know what to say on this. And he said "playing with Motorhead is like he played with acdc..". So reading this stupidity from thousands of so called experts really head start to hurt. I mean, Motorhead vs AcDc hahahahahaha.... On one side you have diverse music like "On Parole", "Another Perfect Day" and "Sacrifice" which are so different that you can only recognise Lemmy's voice, other way you can think this is not same band. And you have acdc which sound the same realy, and when I listen Phil Rudd how he plays and Cliff, they can use rhythm machine on synthysizer it would be the same. Boring same rhythm. Do you know how many idiots can be found online to compare Motorhead with acdc? You can see they dont now what music is, not bands, MUSIC. Those two can only be compared that they play rock n roll and thats it. Like Coltrane in Jazz compared to Miles, both are Jazz, but very different.

Once again ,when it comes to your opinion on Wurzel its utter bollox. Wurzel fitted into Motorhead more than any other guitarist with the exception of Eddie. He was loved by the fans, more so than the boring one on the other side of the stage (who more than came out of his shell when Wurzel left) .Even Micky quoted that Wurzel was more Motorhead than the rest of the band put together. Did you ever see Motorhead with Wurzel? On and off the stage the man pissed all over Phil at that time. Don't get me wrong,Phil was ,surprisingly for many, the one to make Motorhead his as we all know. But hey, I get why you came up with this bullshit- yep -its because Wurzel was more of a metal guitarist. Yawn fucking yawn

Yawn fucking yawn Having re-read the above just now (after I wrote it early this morning) it sounds like I don't think much of Phil. This is certainly not true-Phil is a very good,under-rated guitarist who was superb for Motorhead. My opinion above was about Phil and Wurzel when they were together in the band. Now i'm sure Phil had his fans at the time, but from watching the band a lot in those days Wurzel was always favourite out of the 2 of them with everyone I knew at that time. He was a great stage man, unlike Phil at that time , a good guitarist and a lovely, happy go lucky bloke everytime I saw/spoke to him. Yep more Motorhead than the rest of the band and ,during the last years of Motorhead's legendary career, was ,for me, the highlight of seeing him on stage with them again.

His style is not Motorhead. If you like it good, I dont. He was loved by fans? Which fans? Metal? He is not loved with any fans I knew. I agree that Campbell 'start to play' when Wurzel left, and he is better than histerical annoying same boring Wurzel solos. What Mikkey say means nothing, he came in 1992 its not his band, he is too metalish aswell even he knows how to play rnr, technicly he is great, probobly Lemmy wanted him because of that. Lemmy wanted campbell, Taylor wanted Wurzel in 1984, Lemmy took both, later it was shown Campbell was better choice, Lemmy was right, even he said that Wurzel was his best friend in band but later.... I saw Motorhead with wurzel billion times online, not live (Did you saw band with Larry?). Wurzel, He like person, his style, is bad. I like Larry Wallis 100000 times more. And dont start "what Larry did for band and what wurzel did for band...", Campbell did for band playing many more years than Eddie, but Eddie is still best for many, right? Larry was original line up and On Parole album is better than any album with Wurzel. At least for me and fans which I know. But, I think how Lemmy thinks/wanted what Motorhead is, Wurzel doesnt fit in that picture. His sound and style.. he is more like for metallica, Maiden or bands like that in different genre.

I can assure you at that time Wurzel was no.1 with the UK fans. Maybe you and your mate didn't think so but here in the UK he was. Oh if what Mickey says means nothing then why are you waiting for him to endorse the new album. It seems to me you choose what you like. Seeing someone online is NOT the same as live, make no mistake. Wurzel's style was good for Motorhead, the proof is in the pudding- Orgasmatron being one of their finest moments. On Parole is a bloody good album -as are most Motorhead albums though. And no I didn't see the band with Larry-he wasn't in the band long enough for that was he

Wurzel was the face of Motörhead after Lemmy imo .. more than anyone in the band... and Lemmy´s best friend at the time... If I could choose one to stay in Motorhead was him.. not Campbell ...
