www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/extra/konzerte/2014/1112/index.jsp(afraid I can't find the time for a translation at the moment as I'm on a bit of a gig marathon this week, getting ready to leave for Saxon right now (Overkill yesterday and Motörhead tomorrow), but looks like the Düsseldorf concert got recorded and will be aired in full glory on 3rd Sunday in Advent. Promise to give my personal view on tomorrow's gig on Sunday at the latest )

That's the proof that they can play it together. Don't know why they don't, because Mikkey's such a great drummer and is 1000 times able to do it and so is Phil. I hope for next year's 40th anniversary.

I hope for next year's 40th anniversary. I know it's much too early to discuss, but I'd really love them to do a <Setlist by Request> next year. Having said this, bands like Motörhead will forever be slaves to their back catalogue. People are always stuck with the nostalgic effect of the good memories they associate with their favourite songs (me definitely being no exception, lol), as an artist it sure gets frustrating but anyone trying to make a living off their music has to resort to the old cliche´ of playing their "greatest hits".

yeah setlist by request doesn't really lend itself to them now does it? Great idea though. If they can keep up the rotating songs every night or so that would indeed be great, makes doing multiple shows even more worthwhile

True, it's not very likely they'll do a Setlist by Request anytime soon, the shows are too short for that concept anyway. It worked out great with Metallica this summer though, as their fanbase was sensible enough to mostly vote for songs off the first 4 albums. Brilliant gig.

I'm fine, thanks for asking Tim, hope you & yours, too? --- just a bit quiet currently as (musically seen) there's nothing spectacular going on in my life at the moment .... but there'll be better times again
