New album is finished. Probobly will come out in September or something like that. Noone is trilled about this fact or I cant see? I dont see anywhere people talking about that to much. Before, when new album was recorded everyone was talking about it, how is gonna sound, is there any audio clips etc.... Now, like nobody care. Maybe because of Lemmy's health everyone is sceptical that album could be bad? That's the first I have heard of it being finished. Personally I am really looking forward to it (as I am with every Motorhead album) . I don't think Lemmys health (I thought he was in a better shape now ? ) will have any effect on recording an album. Playing live it Lemmy will struggle a bit,in the studio-no I don't think so. I expect it to be in the same mould as Aftershock with Phil outstanding again.

Well yes, its logical that it is finished. Maybe mixing is now or cover art or whatever, but recording is over. You know that they are in studio around two weeks and after all job is done they are going on tour. So they did start tour on April 25. So, I think that album is finished (recording at least). This is anniversary album, but I am little bit sceptical that any surprises will be. It will probobly be like 'aftershock' or something. To late for any surprises, who knows maybe is last maybe it is not, hard to say. They didnt talk about cover album or blues album like they did before, so it will probobly be nothing new to much, I mean they didnt say nothing new to much from 'Inferno' to this day. More or less it is the same stuff. It is because of Lemmy maybe is to late and to much to ask something little bit different and new. It is 40 years and all that, ok. But after this one, do we need another one? Its great when band is realy inspired but at last few albums, making album every two years started to look like job (making same product) not inspiration. Something new and different is always welcome but last 10 years I dont see that, specialy last 7 years from Motorizer, like they dont have nothing to say anymore, they using same recipe. Ok, Overnight was nice, Snake Bite Love different, Inferno different and nice, even Motorizer different, but thats it. It is hard to be more different when it is the same line up, thats why I like that Motorhead had different line ups. Maybe is way to late, but this line up need change in sound or maybe they should take one new person in band to get fresh new sound or something. This line up is very good, but I have feeling they dont have nothing new to say anymore. If Motorhead will stop soon than fine, but if they gonna make more albums after this one, some change would be nice. Eddie in band? Or Larry? Brian Robertson? All three of them? . Or someone from former Hawkwind members or something like that? Jeff back on next album? Santana? Satriani? Dave Brock? ... You know, just to change and freshing up sound little bit. Some new instrument in band? Etc.......

Aha I thought you had heard/seen that it had been officially announced that it had been finished, not jiust because it is "logical " that it is. Just because it is the anniversary album doesn't mean anything.I don't think they will even think of that when making the album so I don't think their will be anything on there that has been done for this event. Like I said I think it will be in the same mould (ish) as Aftershock- with some nice bluesy licks from Phil on it. Personally I think the run of albums since Inferno has been their strongest run ever. And as for snake bite being different-well I agree it was different because, for Motorhead album ,it was shit. Lets face it there isn't going to be a line up change now is there. And if there were you aren't really very original with your choices-Robbo/Eddie /Larry (that did make me laugh ) or someone from fucking hawkwind (jesus!!!!!) Talk about going backwards.

Well Lemmy was in Dave Brock's band, now it would be funny that Brock is in Lemmy's band, for one album, or someone else from many musicians? And no, Hawkwind is no 'fucking Hawkwind'. It is great band. Robbo, Eddie, Larry someone from them with Phil, I dont see nothing bad in it? Philthy was back in the band in 1987 and noone said that was backwards (or someone did?). From 'inferno' to this day best albums? Maybe in production, but they are like boooring Acdc, all the same more or less. You can be good but if you are the same its boring. Snake Bite, shit album? Well, maybe is not best, but its better than 'Hammered' that was shit album. More or less, they sound good, but it is boring, no change. From March Or Die we know how Phil play Blues, we saw it all. Its just all over again the same thing, and thats boring, same producer = same sound, same line up, again and again. Only little bit different was song "dust and glass" but thats it, more or less. When I listen 'heartbreaker' like I am listening 'runround man', the same opening for album, same style, boooooring! What I did post in last post was actualy observation, not post to discuss or argue. You can have your observation. If everything will be over soon, than it is ok anyway. With this same frame I dont see nothing new will happen. Point to have new album even it is not nothing new realy is to be update, reason to be in newspapers, tv, and always in media, so people dont forget about you. In this days everything is so quick, today you are star, tommorow you didnt. So, except hard core fans, you must be in media here and there, people se that you working something etc... it is logical from bussines point of view, but if you dont have nothing to offer to much than it is boring actualy. Maybe to new fans it is not. Listening same concept all the time, I dont see how that can be interesting. When line up changes were, it was new sound always, and it was Motorhead, but it was different, that was great.

I think you really do live in the past Blackadder. " Lemmy was in dave brocks band"- you are right obviously but you must have a bloody good memory being over 40 years ago.Everybody has different opinions but "Hawkwind is a great band " - fuck me if you think that you have had WAY too much acid mate. You say Philthy came back in 1987 -yes he did -after a 3 year break . Hardly the same as larry bloody wallis after a 40 year break though is it. After all he was in Motorhead for over an hour once-long live larry wallis !!!!!! As for snakebite love-in my opinion its their worst album.Hammered is a decent album (its not their best by a long way but its not their worst ) with the first 4 tracks being really strong.Obviously the speaking track at the end is shit-I will agree on that. As for Aftershock I reckon its a hell of a lot different to their previous albums. Yes Phil has always played some bluesy licks but his guitar playing reached another level on this album. Heartbreaker is probably my least favourite song on the album yet runaround man is one of my favourites off motorizer so I am quite confused how you can think that they could be the same. With Motorhead's style (as ACDC) then you are always going to get some songs that sound the same but to say Inferno to Aftershock are much of the same is just bollocks . And to say about the line up changes making a difference well the only change that made that much of a change was the introduction of Robbo. Drummer wise I don't think any have been that much difference ,so that leaves guitarists. Its not even mentioning the change from wallis to eddie as he wasn't in the band long enough to make any sort of impact. Eddie to Robbo and then Robbo to Phil and Wurzel are the only real musical changes that you can tell. If it had been Eddie to Phil and Wurzel then the change wouldn't have been anywhere near as noticeable . Anyway its far too late for a change-I don't think the band needs it musically. This is the strongest musically they have been in the era since Inferno (its not my favourite line up but the albums speak for themselves). Maybe a guest (s) appearance would be good but I don't think they need to change anything else. After all a lot of people rated Aftershock as their favourite album so they must still be doing something right.

Hahaha... You are obsessed with years. Yea, 40 years so what? BB King was older and people still like him and dozens of other musicians. What is this "it was fucking 40 years ago...", so what? Yea, Larry Wallis was on first album and first line up, most of the fans didnt saw this line up so I think that would be great. And Larry is great. For Dave Brock I thought, funny stuff, he on one album so what? Dave make great stuff with drummer Ginger Baker on "Levitation" album and that was great, doing album with someone is not tragedy. Hammered decent? . And yes Hawkwind and Pink Fairies are wonderful bands. Aftershock vs Inferno: Look, when you have "On Parole", than "Overkill", than "Another perfect day", than "1916", than "Sacrifice".. those are real changes in sound and approach. I dont see that kind of change from Inferno til this day. "Heartbreaker" and "Runround man" not same concet of opening album? No comment on that, probobly I hear things you dont. And maybe other way around?. Robbo and Larry are same for me, specialy Larry is more important, Robbo wasnt even almost in the band, Lemmy said he wanted to be special guest, both had one album with the band, still they were part of the story, specialy first line up on every band is part of the story you cant go against, you talk about Robbo and not Larry? Why? They both had one album with the band. Begginings of every band is roots, important, and on that roots everything else was build. It doesnt matter how short it was, if they had at least one album its enaf. Maybe you dont like THAT Motorhead, why? Because it is more rnr than this one today, no experiments, song metal for fans? You dont like connections with Hawkwind and Pink Fairies, why? Because they are not connections with Iron Maiden and Metallica? I saw this in many metal fans. On Hawkwind forum, they are all happy with connections like that Motorhead-Hawkwind-Pink Fairies, like me too. And Wurzel, oh man, he was like alien in Motorhead, even he is ok person and was friend with Lemmy all that is fine, but his playing oh man, he would be better for some metal bands like megadeath, maiden or metallica, not for Motorhead. I dont like him-his playing, never did, happy he got out in 1995. 11 years of him was to much. Phil Campbell is ok. If they want to make more money, they need change. If they dont want to make another album after this one than its ok. Some guest or line up change would defenetly have impact on next album, and some freshnes. Thats all.

And drummer wise, you said there is no much difference? Lets leave Lucas and Pete. Philthy and Mikkey are two different planets. Technic completely different, sound of the drums different, two planets.. Mikkey is better, but I think style of Philthy is more for Motorhead music. He is "street" drummer, and mikkey (like lemmy said) likes hair metal, not only that, but you know what I mean. Not the same, not even similar. And now something else, how to tell right info and not what media say. Some fan on other forum ask me "what is this motorhead enter sandman stuff?". I said to him; Metallica invited Lemmy on their concert and covered few songs from Motorhead. Lemmy returned favour and covered "Whiplash". Now, there are few important facts which noone say to people throu media. "Whiplash" was on limitied edition of 'kiss of death' album as Bonus Track (in Germany only), the same album have another limited editon with song 'Ramones' (in US only). That was it about metal songs covers on Motorhead albums, discography. You have rnr covers like: louie louie, beer drinkers, the train kept on rollin, Im your witchdoctor, blues like Hoochie Coochie man, punk like God Save the queen etc... those, like this ONE metal song cover are not bonus tracks. Thats attitude about rnr vs metal. Lemmy did many projects outside Motorhead, guest appereances. So he covered Rolling Stones 'Jumpin Jack Flash', Queen 'Tie Your Mother Down', acdc 'its long way to the top' and many others, as well he did covered in various artists project tribute to Metallica 'enter sandman' and Various Artist tribute to Maiden 'trooper'. But those dont have anything with Motorhead albums or discography as far as I know. Those one song from all those artists are all side projects, like The Head Cat, one more great band. So thats it. But what makes me angry, nobody say and explain fans facts like this. They just say "oh Lemmy singin metallica, or maiden..." they dont say that this had nothing to do with Motorhead albums, and they dont say that Lemmy did many stuff like this musch more with rock bands. No, they dont say that, so people think that Lemmy sings only songs from Metal bands, and he doesnt. Thats metal loby, or metal media propaganda from this metal radio or tv shows. So, like begginings of Motorhead, people because of media got wrong idea. They never think, they trust tv. Like they trust to politicians. Well, this was one example of my war against metal propaganda but we had some of that conversation on other theme, media and music industry propaganda.

hey Blackadder- I don't think im obsessed with years. Its just for someone to come back after so long ,whether 40 or 32 years ( and I don't care whether its Larry or Robbo) well I just don't think that's right. In my book its a step backwards. I believe that it never really works when someone goes back- whether that's in a band ,a sports team , a relationship or whatever. The reason that the person has left is because they don't like being there anymore so ,for me, more often than not it doesn't work. As for early Motorhead- I love them as I love Motorhead now. Lost Johnny,on parole, white line fever, city kids are amongst my favourite Motorhead tracks so that is not an issue, and to say I don't like hawkwind or pink fairies connections with motorhead because they aren't "metal" is just a typical dumbarse response that could only be associated with Blackadder.Lets get something straight here- I like ALL sorts of music -fuck me I even went raving for 5 years so to say I don't like something because it isn't metal is just bollox. My top 5 bands at this moment in time are Motorhead,Machine Head, The Prodigy ,Skunk Anansie and Twisted sister- see not many "metal " bands there eh!!!! The truth is you repeat the same old shit all the while.Even this conversation you had to bring the RnR /metal argument in again. Now let me tell you something- from reading your posts over the last 10? ish years I think its you with the problem/obsession. If a band is related in some way to Motorhead (or their members) they are great. If Lemmy has said something then it must be right, Well Lemmy is just a normal bloke that has worked hard to be where he is. Most of the music he is involved with is bloody good, some of it is shit. Some of the stuff he does or is interested in is good, some of it is shit. Some of his sayings are worth taking note of,some of what he says is utter bollox. The same as anyone right. But the thing is you are like a little 12 year old girl One Direction fan- you are obsessed with him.Lemmy says we are rock n roll it must be true (Blackadder tells us all the time).Lemmy says all politicians are cunts-must be true (Blackadder tells us this) .Lemmy says religion is bullshit and is for stupid people-it must be true (Blackadders best time of the year is xmas so he can quote the lyrics to I don't need religion). If Lemmy said the best time for a wank was every Friday at 5pm we all know what Blackadder would be doing then. Do you understand what I am getting at here-just because Lemmy says /does something it doesn't mean its right.

Some of things you said right now could be right. Some of them are bullshit. I am just obsessed with thruth, thats only part when I insist on something. 1. I dont say everything what Lemmy say is right, just for Motorhead and rnr genre and his song writing about religion and politicians, manipulation of people etc.. I didnt defending him in any other stuff outside Motorhead or rnr. Or I dont remember. Its like when people were thinkin before that planet is not going around the sun, and I know it does, in this I will insist, you know what I mean. I said somewhere before, its not realy a problem if someone think Motorhead is country or folk music, dont care, but when this lie becomes so massive from industry who wants only money and everything which is on tv people trust that, because if you dont than you must discover and learn what is this all about. People dont have time to discover everything what tv say is it true or not, so they believe what media or music industry say. I am not the only one who is deep in Motorhead, but I am deep enaf to see what bullshit music industry doing not only to them but to many others, they dont care for anyting except money. 2. Well this backwards stuff. You see, if we say that this is backwards, then we say actualy that those former members are inferior to this members today. I cant accept this. They are not inferior, they are different, thats all. Except all this bands, you like metal right? So, when Bruce Dickinson (did I spell correctly?) was not in Maiden, everyone wanted him back, is this backwards? Or any other band in any other genre you have like that examples. To see Larry, or Eddie in band now it is not backwards. Ok, your opinion, but cant agree with you. Even, I would like some new people in band too, thats another option which could be good, maybe better? 3. Well thats good you like all kind of music. Me too, except metal, rap, hip hop, folk. Everything else almost can go: rnr(rnr, rock, hard rock, psych rock, prog rock), blues, punk, country?, even classical musik, film music Morricone, electronic aka Jarre, Vangelis, Kraftwerk.. 4. The point is, when I know someone is wrong I dont usualy care, but when this wrong stuff become massive on every media etc... than I do care. Have some fan obligation to react on that. Or at least say my stuff, so who disagree or agree fine, if they ignore that, than I have to repeat again again and again, the same thing what they do, they repeating a lie. Its not wrong to defend what I think is right. 5. Please, even I was right, dont be emotional, you remind me on Juggernaut (Peder) when I was having argument with him, he is alright, I didnt heard him for a while, dont know what he is doing now actualy. Point is people heard about music throu media (tv, radio etc..) or from their older brothers, sisters, fathers etc.. who heard about music and what is what throu media. And all that media are inside music industry, specialy before internet. So, people think that they have their own opinion, but they dont, when they were teenagers they heard story from media everything about music, people made inside their heads than picture about bands and all stuff in music what they heard about and they grew up and lived in that belief. Than when you investigate Motorhead for example you learn its not like media say all the time (some of the media today), and when people heard from musicians different story they dont believe. Because, all this 'world' and picture what they got from media and grew up on that belief could be wrong, and than they have a feeling they lived in lie all life. They have to do all change inside their heads, they need to admit they were under manipulation of media. If they do that they will have feeling they are stupid or something. Thats all attack on ego of every person. So, it is more easy to say, Blackadder is idiot and liar, so they can continue live in their fantasy. All that I see throu my life, and it is frustrating that when you see something and people (some of them) dont want to see it or they are to stupid to see it. I got many massages before and on other forums, even on alan burridge (not he personaly, other members) forum from members, hawkwind etc.. they support me. I know nobody is perfect, I cant understand everything on this planet, like some people cant understand what Im talking about. Like people they dont understand about nation, religon, manipulation and that stuff what man invented and not mother nature. Again, it is more easy to say I am talking bullshit because the thruth sometimes destroy belief what people had in their heads all their lifes, specialy if they are older and it is hard to change than. Its not my faulth because people are like that. But the theme should be new motorhead album?

Yes Mark, why you even bother? Leave this idiot Blackadder alone, he is stupid as little smelly shit. Live in your world as you lived, dont think about anything so your world in your head can stay untouched, thats how masses of people think. Think like masses of people think, dont you even try to be above them, thats heresy. Blackadder is just one, stupid dude, most of the people are much clever, even this is contrary of natural laws, because in nature quality is rare, if not (methaforicly speaking) every other man would be Tesla or Einstein, or Nietsche etc... oh, shit, my mistake, most of the people cant be like that, but they are again more inteligent in some way? But, tell Blackadder to fuck of, he is egocentric son of a bitch and problem solved. Cheers Mark.

Rick, Mark and Blackadder. It's great that this BB is getting so many posts, and it's great that so many opinions cause counter-arguements. A knob-end though Blackadder maybe, his heart is (sometimes) in the right place, and he loved Motorhead. However, he lets himself down and goes off on tangents and seems to enjoy causing stressful arguments for the sake of it.
I think several things, 1, I think many posts are not worth replying to, because you will never change the opinion of that person. 2, I think Motorhead are, and always will be the best band that ever existed.... by a million miles. 3, I KNOW my life has been better for them existing. 4, I think Aftershock was disappointing, and other than 2 tracks, pretty much forgettable.... as was Snakebite and Hammered. 5, I think ALL other albums are superb, with very few duff tracks. 6, I DON'T THINK that having a wank at 5pm on a Friday is the best time.... it's definitely 8pm on a Sunday night, when my Mrs has gone out to her Sister's.

Also.... At midnight last night I clicked on the TV for one of those Top of the Pops re-runs from 1980. (Hosted by Tommy Vance that week)
It said that Saxon and Whitesnake were on.... so it was a treat.
However, I couldn't believe my luck half way through when Motorhead exploded onto the show, playing Leaving Here.
I have no recollection of that ever happening.... and it was great!
Philthy even managed to wear his 'Whale Oil Beef Hooked' T shirt.... on the BBC, and get away with it!!
