Very sad, but unfortunately not unexpected. Not only has a great man left us, it's the end of an era. According to an interview with Mikkey Dee in the Swedish paper expressen.se, Lemmy was diagnosed with cancer in the brain and in the neck. The doctors gave him two months to live. Reportedly, Lemmy said "I had a good run, fuck it". Lemmy is, without a doubt, the one who has given me the most musical pleasure in my life. Thanks for all the music and especially all the unforgettable live experiences. Nobody could make my ears ring quite like you. RIP.

Listening to Motorhead nice and loud right now with a beer in my hand, contemplating when to start on the JD. I could cry but I just feel so numb at this. We all knew it was coming one day, and after recent times coming one day soon, but now it's happened I just can't believe it.
Thank you for everything Lemmy. Legend is a label far too easily bandied round, yet it doesn't even come close to what you are to us.

He said 'I don't want to live forever'.... and apparently he's not. Gutted at this news today, and it's like losing an old friend,or even worse than that. Motorhead have been a constant in my life since 1978/1979, and apart from live gigs, they still will be. Won't be the same though. He's been KILLED BY DEATH. The only thing that could ever kill him, really.

All I can think of to say is....Fuck. I am so fucking sad. When I found out 27hours ago or something I only had 1 can of bloody guiness and that wouldn't do at 1am. So I left it till today, and I'm still awake, after numerous specialbrews and a trip to trillians. Now at 5.45am I'm still drinking and onto that japanese bootleg from 97.
Fuck. Rock n' Roll has fucking died.
Hope, I really hope this don't sound selfish but what is there left?? Hope we can all stay together at least like this, on this forum.
I'm hurting badly, but my neighbours are hurting worse heh fuck them - their concrete has proper died
If I was one of them people that does the afterlife thingy, wey, Lem, Wurzel and Philthy are now drinking and snorting and guffawing!!!
I miss you already Lemmy - you was the greatest. Hugz

My son woke me up on 28-12-15 at 6.25 and told me the news. It is only 4 weeks ago that we were on tour and saw them perform. Very impressive that he managed to do this. Looking at his photos I now see how fragile he was. My wife told me that he was looking like my father before he went away last August. I didn't want to hear it and remained thinking that Lemmy was indestructible. I already planned the shows for 2016 and kept telling myself that Motorhead would remain for at least another year.
Yes, Lem was looking fragile and lost weight and yes the look in his eyes was different, but why would they announce shows in August 2016 if he wasn't able to do them ? Well, it seems that I was wrong. This year I have lost two men in my life who I respected and loved very much. There is a big hole that I need to fill up and I don't know how to do that. So, I just carry on....... But, my life will never be the same again without them.

Reported the vultures on Facebook. Least I can do, and not very effective, but I did it.

So, how many DAYS will it be before they rush out (yet another) 'Best Of'' Double Album?
There won't be a single thing on it that we don't already have, time and again.... but we'll buy it anyway.
It would be disrespectful not to.
