How is it? I'm a sucker for classical arrangements in rock music.

In my honest opinion...I quite like it. During some songs the orchestra was blending well and with others,, it was faintly in the background adding a nice dimension to it.

I don't like it. I think it largely sounds a mess and the orchestra distracts from the quality of the songs. Master of Puppets is especially dreadful, I recall.

Some are good some is crap... One track, recorded on their rehearsals I assume, is a nice version of Imperial march...

Love it. Stuff like Fuel, Ktulu and (OOOOOOOH) The Memory Remains are especially excellent. Memory is actually the best one, for me, as the Marianne Faithful part has been replace by the orchestra going Wagnerian and the audience singing as a chorus. Amazing.
And of course, Cope hating Master of Puppets, I love it. Old dichotomy rolling ;D

Thanks! I checked out some of the previous an amazon, and am liking the sound of it... including Master of Puppets. Like I said, I am a sucker for this sort of thing. You could probably put an orchestra behind a large man taking a bowel movement, and I would think it sounds phenomenal. So I'll give it a go.

And of course, just to state the obvious: LINGUA MORTIS by Rage. Amazing.

I love this record, was working abroad briefly when I got it and played it non-stop while driving through Germany for a few months. Ktulu is entirely fantastic. Bring back Newsted I say LOL sorry Mark

I love how Jason titled his new album. It sounds a tad too Metallica-ish for me though, I would have preferred something more different.

I loved the Newstead ' Metal' EP but thought the album was a bit of a let down. As for S+M it's a good listen for something different in a live album, but it's no Binge and Purge
