I suspect the problem isn´t only at facebook... imotorhead imo have been running by " amateurs" as for example, the forum... isn´t available, and all that motorheadforlife crap... I tried to access the merch and there´s option only for US and Europe... thats fine... I agree I live in the fucking third world but the merch should be available to all ... not in regions... I m really upset with some stuffs... The official fb is fucking annoying... I dont want to be more than others... but I am a member of mhb and my posts never show up... instead, some idiots and prickers has tons of posts there... give me a break..

they're a money generating machine sustaining an army of suits. But underneath it is still a fuckin great band we're privileged to follow. I don't buy much merch anymore or many of the tie-ins and crap but I have a naïve hope that by buying the music and the gig tickets, Lem Phil n Mik are making a living due to me. The last official forum getting pulled overnight proved that a committed fanbase means shit to them

motorhead on the web.... am i only one annoyed by their facebook page? please tell me i am not. i did not like them on FB because page is obviously ran by guys in suits who try to milk money from teenagers and people who "got into" the band after lemmy the movie i am really emberassed when i see those crap pictures of cheap chicks in MH shirts and those annoying motorTHIS and motorTHAT pictures that people put on in the period of last year of two or maybe three, imotorhead.com became all about money, i'm really annoyed by that fact and useless merch and ideas like motorboat. i maybe sound like jerk but i was more glad when i liked them alone in my town, probably because most of others are into ace of spades song as usual :/ You are totally right of course-But wait until next year when its 40 years of Motorhead.Their management will be milking them to fuck then for sure

Yeah, the Facebook thing is atrocious. It's so blatantly cynical. It's very naked in what it is. I have no idea but in the last few years I've been getting this really exploitative feel from the band's management, and it's all over the place, ranging from the web presence to merch and wine, to pushing pointless live albums out. And it's a pity because Motörhead are one of those rare bands that should be stupidly easy to manage. Think about it. They have been touring endlessly and churning albums out regularly for nearly forty years, and you don't even need to be creative with the merch. Just keep it simple, keep printing the old Motörhead England t-shirt and they will sell. In other words, just let Motörhead be Motörhead and it will work. This is the band that you don't need to squeeze dry. What are they thinking?

I get annoyed to fuck with the childish Facebook posts asking us to vote for Ace of Spades as best song ever. Or vote for this other band that we've never heard of as best band in LA because they're "our friends" (read they're under our management too). What kind of victory is that anyway?
Or the endless pictures of some guy's kid who he dressed in metal clothes at age three. Serve the fucker right if the kid rebels and listens to country.
Then the moronic replies.
It got cool for a while when some guy was starting discussions about each album, but that might have been the unofficial page.

That's excellently said.
As for the victory, alas, it does count as one for the management if the monetary gain for the new band outweights the loss due to Motörhead outrage. Which it likely will. It is a naked cash grab though. Wouldn't it be better if they did it the clean way? No pretending to be Lemmy, just "hey, here's another band from the guys who manage Motörhead". I would probably check it out, you know. Just don't treat me like I'm four years old, because I can see through your lies.

thanks for that Regina, tour is looming fast, been encouraged by some of the Motorboat footage, Lem looks rejuvenated somewhat. The official site is however as crap as ever, lots of American football themed stuff on there and vote for the band in this and that, the link to Alan Burridge site is prominent and works too.

thanks regina, a fairly uninspired interview but he sounds content and wants to be back in studio so good stuff. Going to be an interesting few weeks coming up, although I confess I haven't got the buzz I usually do as things really do need to go right this time

Not yet in the right mood? sorry to hear that,Tim - maybe because you've already seen them at Hyde Park this summer? Anyway, hope your excitement starts building as the countdown keeps ticking away .
