Rick, Mark and Blackadder. It's great that this BB is getting so many posts, and it's great that so many opinions cause counter-arguements. A knob-end though Blackadder maybe, his heart is (sometimes) in the right place, and he loved Motorhead. However, he lets himself down and goes off on tangents and seems to enjoy causing stressful arguments for the sake of it. I think several things, 1, I think many posts are not worth replying to, because you will never change the opinion of that person. 2, I think Motorhead are, and always will be the best band that ever existed.... by a million miles. 3, I KNOW my life has been better for them existing. 4, I think Aftershock was disappointing, and other than 2 tracks, pretty much forgettable.... as was Snakebite and Hammered. 5, I think ALL other albums are superb, with very few duff tracks. 6, I DON'T THINK that having a wank at 5pm on a Friday is the best time.... it's definitely 8pm on a Sunday night, when my Mrs has gone out to her Sister's. Thank you. Yes, sometimes, stressful arguments can be very interesting, not always negative. You know, after that kind of argument when all come down and think what we all said... its not always bad. We can all be good, nice, in that way boring, small talk etc... but to have real arguments and move some borders, its always stressful but it could be good after all. We dont have to see those kind of arguments as some drama, you dont see it like that as we can see from your post. Thats ok. Opinions, yes, well, thats normal, everyone have their own reasons for opinion, to hear those reasons is good, to have argument about those reasons is good too. Because, I cant believe that many different opinions can be right in the same time if we choose to follow same history facts and chronology. However, even then, nobody can force anyone to change. We/I can try, but it doesnt mean anything if that person dont want that. All this is part of arguments and thats natural. All people learn like that, having argument and changing informations and opinions between each other. Can be a lot of energy put into it so it is not for every time, but that kind of arguments can be useful.

Ok. So, excpectations for new album.... I think 'aftershock' was little bit better than 'the world is yours'. However, I am wondering will this album be slow and more easy songs.. because of Lemmy.

I really like Aftershock... songs are great... love the cover... the color. What do I expect for the new one? Petagno back ... at least for the 40th anniversary would be fucking cool to have his draws on the cover.

I am also surprised that you aren't keen on Aftershock,Fester. As I have said before I think its a real strong album-a bit of everything on there with Phil in top form.Yep I like it And Rick you are so right saying we all like them for different reasons- some even think Robbo was good in the band (where are you Tim- ive written that especially for you knowing we wont have a 10 page debate on Robbo -well I hope not )

All people learn like that, having argument and changing informations and opinions between each other. Can be a lot of energy put into it so it is not for every time, but that kind of arguments can be useful. Right ive been away for the weekend watching the motorbike racing so just caught up (quickly)on these posts. Firstly ,from my point of view,i don't see these as arguments but just discussions. Blackadder, and anyone else, are entitled to their points of view and I (mostly) find their points interesting. As we know Lemmy ( I mean blackadder -im joking ) has strong opinions that he likes to bring up every year,i mean month, hold on ,no,i mean on a weekly basis (joking again -calm down ) about what music and sayings he says ( I mean what Lemmy says- god I am getting confused with Lemmy and Blackadder here ) and to be honest,at least this has got people on here joining in because its been a bit dead recently. You know the saying-if we all agreed on the same subjects it would be a dull place. Anyway going back to Blackadders last main post about the media-Well yes I agree that the media puts everything into some sort of category-you get that with all walks of life-that's just how it is-and that is the same for the majority of people not just the media. We all see something on the tv,in the papers,on the radio, walking down the street and we ,maybe sub-consciously,categourise them . When I got into Motorhead in 1982/83/84 there wasn't many music magazines about.I think we had Sounds (that had a bit of everything? ), melody maker (which was a pop magazine ?) Smash Hits ( definitely a pop magazine mainly for teenage girls) and then Kerrang appeared, which catered for mainly Heavy Rock/metal , punk music. Right ,so when a band appears that has long hair, wears jeans tshirt bullet belts and is generally the scruffy looking type, that plays loud ,heavy rock sounding music, and therefore the band members are not going to be the latest monthly pin ups on the teenage girls wall, then (you could argue that this is down to the band as much as the media) they aren't going to be plastered regularly in the likes of Smash Hits every week. So yes ,maybe a bit is down to the media, but a large part is down to the direction the band wants to take in the first place, and ,whether you like it or not,in this case was to be a Heavy Rock band that didn't fit in (especially back then) with the mainstream society-and this my friend is why most of us Motorhead fans feel that really strong bond with the band.

mark321Yes. I understand this. But this is about long hair propaganda too. I think I said that somewhere. Well, you see, leather jackets had James Dean in 50's and later even Elvis, long hair had hippy's and rock dudes. So, leather jackets, long hair.., metal did not invented those things. Rnr did! You know, so propaganda is in this: You said "if they have long hair they are not mainstream..." and in those days call them a metal what you thought? Yes, but thats a lie, I mean, media propaganda. If I am going down th street and have motorhead shirt, long hair and leather jacket, most of the people will say 'oh metal fan..' Why? Who put that lie in their heads? Media propaganda! Motorhead is not metal, long hair is not metal invention - long hair had hippy and rock dudes before metal, leather jackets too. Those thing were not made by metal so we can all automaticly have conclusion "oh look, he have long hair, leather jacket, he is metal fan..". Thats the problem, long hair, leather jacket did not come from heavy metal. Thats what media propaganda lie about. And like you describe, most of the people swallowed that lie. Like sheeps. Thats what I was talking, like politicians, people believe i anything, you can shape their minds like you want. Thats frightening. I know all this stuff are not metal. If metal took that stuff ok, but people should know that metal did not invented those stuff, rnr did.

Yeah, you have a point there Paul - no reaction will surly be best reaction in this case. I just needed to vent my displeasure, good to see I'm not alone on that.
