I hope to share a photo soon, I'm about to acquire my humble. thanks borntobooze.-that was my only mode of transport back then (but I did get picked up for work as I am a bricklayer -but when I left the firm is when I had to get a car so I could put my tools in) .Good times,no great times. Bike rally s all the while, good people, good music. But definitely an eye opener,at first anyway, drinking and going to the same places used by certain "patch clubs"

....and Amen to that! the boyfriend is a 1%-er and as much as I care for him I've decided it's best not to get too much involved with his "Brothers", esp. when it comes to their junior members ... it's really and truly a world of its own <~>

My mate is mates with a patch club in Germany. He went over there once and hung out with them .He was allowed to crash(sleep) on the floor of their clubhouse. One of the club members gave him a rolled sleeping bag to use as a pillow. He thought this is a bit hard-inside there was something other than a pillow!!!!! This was 20+ years ago so it might be a bit different now!!!! I think a lot of patch clubs have had to "tidy their businesses up " if you know what I mean. In the 80's,especially in places like Denmark, there was all out wars between 2 certain clubs-I think one even used a rocket launcher to hit the others clubhouse. And theres obviously still a lot of rivalry in this country between certain clubs. But yeah, best to mind your own business.

LOL MArk she tells me I'm selling it as it happens!! A good friend nearly died on one recently and he can ride way better than me. Big decision. I too had some (minor) exposure to the 1% scene a number of years ago and it was a significant reason for me leaving the club I was with. Nuff said really

Hey Regina -been looking this last month or so.Fancied a Triumph street triple 675. Took it out,was nice to ride but they also had a Honda CBR 600 RR,so got a test ride on this straight after. What a difference!!!!! The handling and power-!!!!! Since then ive test ridden a Suzuki GSXR 600 ,which, being a short arse, was a bit narrower than the cbr600rr and not so tip-toey for me.Not a lot different otherwise. Will let you know if I treat myself

That sounds promising, Mark ! Couldn't say anything bad about japanese bikes (mine is a Virago XV 535, the bf likes to take the mickey though, as the HA charters are sworn to Harleys obviously, pffffft.....) - they are sturdy, reliable, easy on the eyes and don't have to spend too many hours at the garage either. So good choice, imho . But wouldn't it be better to wait till next spring, with the season soon over because of weather conditions? Or are you one of those crazy mofos who just buy a set of snow tyres and keep riding all year long? Anyway, I'll put my baby back to slumber in the shed by next month and then it'll be back to bloody commuter trains instead till (hopefully) April .

Hey Regina, what I didn't say was I put a deposit down on the GSXR 600 and this morning I went and bought it.All week ive been unsure, even after putting down the deposit !! Anyway late last night I got my insurance and at 9-30 this morning I was at the shop ready to buy it.Rode the 30 mile trip back home with the misses following in the car.Got home ,had some food and went out again.Did around 40 miles, came home for 5 minutes and then went out for another ride.Oh what fun But no I shant be riding it much over the winter, did think about waiting until the spring, but I knocked the price down £400 so thought fuck it. Happy days
