I am quite impressed with Hammered. I got it on it's release date in North America, and haven't stopped listening to it since. Walk A Crooked Mile and Brave New World being my favorite songs. No Remorse loses a point on my scores for repeating "No Remorse" over and over, like that. I wouldn't have disliked it if only they hadn't made it sound the way it did (Didn't flow with the rest of the song.)
Walk A Crooked Mile - 5/5 Down the Line - 5/5 Brave New World - 5/5 Voices From the War - 4/5 Mine all mine - 3/5 Shut Your Mouth - 3/5 Kill the World - 5/5 Dr. Love - 4/5 No Remorse - 4/5 Red Raw - 4/5 Serial Killer - 3/5

I'm with most of you in the fact that I like more rock and not quite so metal "mine all mine" is my favorite off this platter!

I finally got "Hammered" on last saturday and I'm still waiting for it to grow on me. So far I have found it a kind of uninspiried affair. I mean, its not bad, I thought that "Walk a crooked mile" and "Brave new world" are the best songs but it seems that maybe they were running out of ideas and maybe just going through the motions on some of it. Some of it is more experimental that in the past, and the over all tone of the album is more subdued that the last one. I thought "We are Motorhead" was a full on power album, and I guess I expected the next one to be just as powerful. I mean, it dosn't suck or anything like that, but it's just a weaker album than some of the other ones in my opinion. I'm still listening to it so it might grow on me. It's just not what I expected.

I had the same feeling, Nick. But it grew on me, now I think it's very good.

Strange, I used to agree with those posts about the lack of rock n roll songs on Hammered but the more I listen to it the more I think it's more r n r than metal.

I have to say that I was really dissapointed for a canny bit after I bought it but I really like it now. The best tracks are 'Walk a Crooked Mile' and 'Brave New World', which pretty much everyone agrees on. Even now I can't completly decide on the other tracks. I'll listen to them and I like them, but I don't think they're anything special.

Hammered is my Motorhead's best record since Bastards, in my opinion anyway - I like the way they balance the heavier stuff with the rock.
The riff work on the album is quality - '...Crooked Mile' is one of the best pieces of music I've heard in ages.
Also I don't think that there are any really weak songs on the album. Certainly no 'fillers'.
It's far better than 'We are Motorhead', which was very uneven.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lemmy called it a day after this - I think he will struggle to top this album...

Yesterday Motörhead appeared on a german TV-Show called ''TV-Total'' to promote 'Hammered'.
First there was a short interview between the show moderater Stefan Raab and Lemmy, both drinking JD and jokin'...for example: "are you playing that loud today than 20 years ago?"...Lemmy: "Uh, you'll hear in a minute!"
Then they were playing "Brave New World", and it sounded really loud!
Some more things:
Lemmy wears a new hat, that looks mostly similar to his stolen one, but not really that cool.
He is Rock'n'Roll in person.
Phil Campell is not a singer!!!
The show moderator after the song: "The band got to get their plane, they are busy 'cause the drummer must appear at the muppets show."
He thinks he is funny
I didn't expect the guys in a show like this-it was great!

I saw the clip on that show's website and your right about Phil's singing. Lemmy looked in great shape. I saw that car smashing clip and he looked a bit tubby but he was lean and mean on that show last night. The host was a plonker though. www.tv-total.de/show/lastshow/#I imagine that this link will become redundant soon.
