Never heard it yet but from what I've read it's a huge return to form that is let down by "Lochness". The title of the song conjures up images of Spinal Tap and "Stonehenge".

but then the Stonehenge bit of it conjures up images of druids and the sun in the right position for human sacrifice......
but lochness itself conjures up something less dark
A deep monster that's purely in one particular loch, rather thandeep in the mind or within the music.

But Spinal Tap's Stonehenge is hardly nightmarish though.
I think I'll download a few of the new Priest songs, see what I think. I might even like Lochness since I love a bit of unintended hilarity.

Spinal Tap's stonehenge was brilliantly hilarious. I walked into the room while it was half-way through. Really thought it was for real to begin with. You know, the behind the scenes stuff - been there and it's similar in a lot of ways. Thought it was all very funny and realistic.

Back to AoR... It feels rather uninspired to me. Most of the riffs sound recycled from other bands. Top points are the slow/ballad ones, Worth Fighting For and Angel. I have a horrible sense of deja vu with all the rest (and to a lesser degree with Worth Fighting For as well).

The new Priest album isn't the greatest, but it's an excuse for the band to do a world tour with Rob. That's enough for this old fan. The '90 Painkiller show (with Megadeth and Testament supporting-wow!) I went to is still the best metal show I've ever seen. Saw the Clash of the Titans tour with Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax (all at the top of their games) soon afterward, but Priest live topped 'em all.

Hehe, yeah. I saw them in concert last night. That was not great. Rob's voice isn't was it used to be and the drummer (Scott Travis) was a bit slack I think. Didn't get any energy from them either. I had a much better experience last time they were here with Tim Owens on vocal and at a smaller venue.
